Before the acceptance of hops in brewing, brewers were forced to balance the inherent sweetness of the brew with various herbs and spices. Our Campfire returns to those days recycling our own Douglas Fir Christmas tree into this special smoke beer. Steeped in the brew for 2 hours, the tree lends the beer a nice piney nose and a balanced flavor along with German smoked malt. And you probably just threw your tree to the curb!
