This is a premium Imperial beer, like that exported from Britain to Russia and Scandinavia at the end of the 18th century. It is a smooth black beer that uses chocolate malt to gain a deep bitter chocolate flavor. It is high in alcohol and fragrant, and very smooth as a result of long lagering.
