ey Mpls/St. Paul crew!
I’m a big fan of homebrew and had an idea for a new beer contest, but it would require a tasting (preferably with 6 or more people). If there’s enough local interest, I’ll put up a post in the trading and homebrew forums asking people to send either 2-12oz bottles or 1-bomber of homebrew which all of us would rate. Following the tasting and rating, I would send the winner a bottle of 2009 Darkness.
Any interest from the gang?

I don’t homebrew, but I love tasting other’s efforts. Often times, I get bonused homebrews in trades... I prefer that over mediocre locals. That being said, I’m in!

Yeah, I unfortunately have not received any homebrews in trades, but am very interested in sampling other people’s creations.

Got 4 people in, anyone else (c’mon, I’m just asking you to drink the beer and rate it )? If we can get a some more locals, I’ll post this bad boy up.

I’d say just post it. As the event gets closer more people will join up. Also, 4 people could probably put back a reasonable amount of homebrew. Also, people may be more inclined to send only a 12 oz. bottle if it’s a little more special stuff.

Alright, good enough for me. I’ll toss this out there for a sign up, and then ask people to ship when we have the tasting date set-up (maybe ship December, rate in January?) I’ll keep everyone posted.
