Has anyone had it this year? Hopefully I got a bad bottle, but it seemed off. Both nose and palate had an unpleasant "scorched" quality (for lack of a better word)

I never had the Naughty Hildegard, so if I see a bottle I should buy it.
I’m interested to know from others if there are QA problems though...

Yes Todd, tastes like scorched nut shells. Not exactly, but that’s the closest I can come

I thought it’s been fantastic each time I’ve had it.

Dave: Have you had this year’s yet?

I think its time for a Vic tasting :)

I’ve always liked it until this year.

I had a beer from another local brewery at St Aug today and it had the same off flavor. I’m thinking maybe this is coming from one of my heart meds, but I’d be interested in knowing if anyone else noticed anything odd. The one today was Red Truck IPA

I didn’t find anything off with the Red Truck IPA. A clean and proper IPA, if a tad uninspired.

Certainly haven’t tasted anything off with the Hildegard either, I think this year is one of the best so far.
