walk into Shawan Liquor (Baltimore area) today, and at the back of one of the coolers is a partially hidden bottle of Heavyweight Perkunos Hammer... I grab it and ask the beer manager if he’ll sell it to me, he says $1.99, and that he had an Old Salty as well for the same price.
Then he says he has a case of Heavyweight Stickenjab Altbier that I can have for free. Then he gives me a 5 year old bottle of Trois Pistoles that was sitting under a shelf.
good luck on the stickenjab i just had one recently and was not inpressed at all, but for free i could definetly drink it. way to go on a great beer day.

My new favorite beer store.
Nothing like being able to get rid of an oxidized Unibroue brew and a stale altbier (even at that hop level) to a willing taker . Actually, I wouldn’t mind scoring the Perkunos or Old Salty. Enjoy!

Just had the first, it’s in fine condition. It was an unopened case kept in a beer cooler for the last however-many years.

Yeah the Unibroue I don’t have high hopes for, but I was curious enough I wouldn’t turn it down.
God, at those prices, how could you say no? If nothing else you both feel like you did each other a favor and you’ll look forward to doing business again--even if that Perkuno’s was the only drinkable beer of the bunch (which it sounds like it wasn’t).
That’s an awesome haul. But I’ll be the Trois Pistoles is the keeper of the lot. It’s bottle conditioned, so unless the cork went bad, I’d bet it’s mighty tasty right about now.
