bad service-to expensive

A quite nice place, but far from impressive. We got some nice beer and decent food, but the service was a bit slow. Maybe that was because we were sitting outside, but we weren’t the only people outside, so I guess the waiter just had a bad day... Anyway, I wouldn’t mind going back if ever in Aalst again.

Quite busy on a Saturday night in the beginning of May, so we where only sitting outdoor. Decent beer list, nothing extraordinary but a selection of De Glazen Toren. Some of the beers where out of stock, but we managed to get something interesting together with a nice plate of tapas. Decent food, moderate price level, friendly service but annoying slow service.

Situated off the beaten track, but still less than five minutes walk from the city centre of Grote Markt. Crowded, busy and rather noisy on a Saturday eve. Visited by a wide range of people. We had a delicate cheese plate with our beers. Traditional Belgian beer list that runs to about 40 bottles together with a few on taps. Nice outdoor seating and cosy wooden interior (visited, 30.04.2011).
