| Scopey (150), Croydon, England | | February 10, 2012 Moorings is rock bar located down by the harbour in Aberdeen. Fairly dark and dingy as you would expect. Staff are pretty friendly and they play a lot of live music in evenings. As such during the day is a pretty tame and quiet affair. They have decent amount of hand pumps, which stock a range of Scottish micros, including very local stuff such as Burnside. Condition of cask ale has been an issue for me in the past, but recently it’s been decent. They have some ok keg stuff too such as Budvar Dark and La Chouffe. Bottle list is extensive, if a bit unexciting. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in Aberdeen. | | Bryne (153), , Norway | | March 20, 2011 [ Updated August 11, 2011 ] A rock bar with 4 cask ales. They also have a beer list where you can choose among 86 more or less average beers. Quality craft beers you will find at Brew Dog...But, they do have many Belgian bottles and rotating Scottish cask ales. Worth a visit! Everybody just like chillin out and drinkin good beer love this place!! | | TimE (189), Tokyo, Japan | | October 5, 2009 Best place to drink in Aberdeen. That doesnt say much, but you will find much more interesting beers on tap here than in Price of Wales. Good service. Go in the late afternoon/early evening before things get too busy. | | cgarvieuk (96), Edinburgh , Scotland | | June 8, 2009 [ Updated October 18, 2010 ] Interesting Rock bar in Aberdeen... Some cask ales and an decent if not particualrly exciting bottle range ...service was friendly ... |
