| fiver29 (48), Cleveland, Ohio | | April 8, 2012 Located in a strip mall less than a mile off the I-77 freeway. There is a large beer, wine, and liquor section in the back of the store. You can’t miss it. They also have a growler station with about 6 taps. Behind the growler station is a large aisle divided by BMC on one side and craft on the other. This is a typical layout for grocery stores in the area (minus the growler station). They have all the typical craft fare for the area and sometimes have a nice release of some sort. Worth a visit if only driving by. I would’t go out of my way to stop here. | | AwYeh (12), Canton, Ohio | | December 22, 2010 Much better selection than I would ever expect from a chain grocery store; local/regional craft beers are present in great variety, along with a good number of imports and choices from some of the country’s more popular breweries. Was surprised to find AleSmith here. Small selection of singles, but many more six packs and bombers. Check out one of their other locations about two miles down Medina Rd/Market to the east; it’s right next to West Point Market and both stores are worth swinging by if you’re in the area. | | MikeF (205), Cleveland, Ohio | | November 25, 2009 Worth checking out. Acme is one of the only places I have seen in Ohio that actually ocassionaly puts good beer on sale. They have a great selection and if you are luck you might get a really great deal. | | OSLO (119), Ames, Iowa | | June 2, 2009 A supermarket with a beer/wine/liquor store located in the back. Selection is far better than Mustard Seed for Hopping Frog and Great Lakes, but other than that I didn’t think that they were too amazing. You cannot break-up six packs, as the numerous signs point out, and prices are average. I did not see anyone near the beer, so I do not know about service. Worth stopping at if you want Hopping Frog or Great Lakes, but if you want a mixed 6 pack, go to Mustard Seed down the road. | | yobdoog (94), Woodridge NY, New York | | February 29, 2008 I definitely could have spent way too much money here. I wanted to buy everything but I was on a road trip so I got things not available to me. The beer section is awesome and huge. I picked up some Two Brothers, Hoppin Frog, Bells, Vertical 6 and 7. They seriously had so much great stuff. Very well organized and had some cold stuff and the rest on the shelves. Bring a big wallet and have fun here. | | cking (26), North Canton, Ohio | | June 7, 2007 Wow, the ACME stores down my way carry a great selection but this one blows the others away. I was amazed at the extensive offering by this store. Walked away with some killer brews at great prices. This should be the 1st place to stop at in the area since they rival any other selection, and the prices will be the same if not lower. Absolutely amazing for a grocery store. | | f351c4v (77), Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania | | April 23, 2006 Nice grocery store that happens to have an entire section devoted to beer and liquor. A bit more of a selection than Mustard Seed Market, which is righ down the street. Many US micros are available, like Victory, Weyerbacher, AleSmith, and Three Floyds. There’s a good deal of Belgian 750’s as well, just nothing ultra-rare. Worth uncovering. | bobbo16 (4), Copley, Ohio does not count - explanation | | January 13, 2006 Acme didn’t always have such a great selection of brew, wine and spirits. The disappearance of the state liquor store may have brought them into a new market. The Montrose Acme has as a great selection of beer; as good or better than I have seen anywhere. I am glad to live 8 minutes away. | JakeFr5150 (7), Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio does not count - explanation | | October 2, 2005 Grocery Store: All Acme’s have great selections for a grocery store. About the same as you would find at most beer/wine shops. Not really much in the way of being able to create mixed sixers or singles in general (unless Coors Light or Miller High Life is what you are after). Worth a look if you want a shop that is convenient to home. | stollcri (5), Ohio does not count - explanation | | September 28, 2005 Acme is a local grocery chain that carries an excelent beer selection. The selection varies in size by store (depending on thier customer base in a given area I presume). Beer from out of state Microbreweries tend to be out of date or close to out of date, but those beers can’t otherwise be found in this area. |
