Downtown location with a large area and live music. Stopped by on a friday night. Live music was a plus. The beer selection is pretty big and they have different sizes available like 8/16/pitcher. Sevice was just ok, overpack that night. Overall a fun place.

What can one say other than they have a tap list and bottle list that is awesome. the old tap handles from breweries long gone is awesome. Great bar food and terrific beer line up. Lots of local brews and smack right downtown. Parking sucks.

They had a fairly decent tap list. They had a few taps that were new to me. The service was pretty good. The female bartender was nice looking, so that was nice, too. The scene - not my favorite. I’m not even 30 years-old yet, but shit, this place was too loud for me. I like subtle conversation, but with a band on Friday night, and all of the people, it was a little much. I’m not saying I didn’t have fun, or that this place isn’t worth your time, because it definitely is, I’m just saying that it wasn’t my cup o’ tea. This site is about the beer, however, so with that being said, I’ll say, definitely go here to check out their tap selection. You never know, they may have something that surprises you, on tap. Oh, also, I tried some of their food, and it was pretty good. I had this dessert that was fairly amazing, so that’s another plus for this place. Oh, one last thing, if you’re going here on a crazy night, it’s sort of in a busy area, but the parking is < $5 for multiple hours, so it’s not a big deal, or hard to find parking at all.

Largeand friendly place, a bit scruffy in a nice way. Extensive local beer selection, including multiple not yet rated. Food is tasty and varied. Good stop.

A busy bar in downtown Anchorage with a really nice beer selection. A good variety from across the state is the advantage here. At the same time, it is a bit pricy, even by local standards. Didn’t try the food, but it did look good. I visted on a weekend evening, so it was busy and took a while to get beers. Still a nice place to visit.

This is a true man cave of beer (as advertised). Dark, a bit dank, old shcool tavern look with a nice beer selection, with some imports and rareties. The food is bar food meets Alaskan seafood. Had the halibut Benedict, which was good if pricey (15$). Will offer free tastes, and for the local stuff, some sampler glasses.

does not look like much, but what matters is a good beer selection - both Alaskan and form the lower 48s, plus few European; decent food, harried but attentive service, expensive but not more than other downtown Anchorage joints

Sort of a rundown, old locals and college-kids looking place, which is kinda my style. TVs and radio going at the same time so you don’t have to think were a bit annoying, but not nearly as loud as most places. Was a Sunday when it wasn’t too busy and service was really lackluster. That’s really my only complaint, and I know this is usually just related to high turnover in staff. I don’t think this was the case here; they were catering to locals-only on this start of the tourist season Sunday afternoon. Otherwise, a great beer selection, with the typical Alaska pricing, especially for the food.

Spotted 50 draughts during Alaskan Beer Week, with 21 listed as local. Most ran about $5. Dimly lit "diner" decor with large c-shaped black bar of light wood trim and steel pipe fool rail. silent TVs all around, football on the large-screen, rock & roll tunes. Double doors mitigate some of the arctic chill outside. Live music Thursdays and Fridays packs the place. Food includes crab roll, halibut fish and chips, king crap, southwest salmon cakes, halibut tacos, pasta, halibut burgers, salmon burgers and steamed clams. Easy walk from other downtown locations. Very popular place.

Went here after Sub Zero for a few pints. Great selection of beers but we didn’t eat anything. Just sat around, listened to the band and Gets crowded and loud, walking distance to Glacier Brewing and Sleeping Lady, good times!
