| hombrepalo (100), Chicago, Illinois | | April 9, 2012 Stopped by to pick up some mix a six pack of Alaskan beers. This place is smallish with most of their beer in coolers. they have hundreds of northwest beers and especially Alaskan beers. The guy at the shop was helpful and knowledgable. The prices were great I think I paid like $10 for a six of mixed stuff. Would highly recommend if you are looking for quantities of different Alaskan beers. | | BrewDad (359), Olympia, Washington | | March 15, 2012 Great bottle shop. 500 +bottles to choose from and they move the product. It comes in and it goes. Great section and great service. | | CheersMate (132), Fremont (Seattle), Washington | | February 22, 2012 Space wise, this place is not very big, but it does pack a punch with the space it’s been given. Great selection of Celestial Mead meds. Great selection of beers. They didn’t really seem to have anything "rare", but I’m not from here, so everything, is in a sense, "rare" to me. The service was nice, and I was able to shoot the shit with the guy working there, for a few minutes. Very personal experience, but doesn’t carry the selection as say the Brown Jug off of Old Seward, or wherever it’s located. The prices here seem to be pretty consistent everywhere I’ve been. | | nearbeer (144), Knoxville, Tennessee | | May 16, 2011 Comfy, laid-back little hole in the wall on one side of an old mall. Great selection of regionals, Western US micros, and some European imports. Everything can be purchased singly; woo-hoo! Nice and knowledgeable young sales lady was the only other person in the store on a Sunday afternoon. Fair pricing for Alaska. | | jsquire (47), St. Marys, Ohio | | January 18, 2011 In a strip mall in Anchorage. Great selection of Alaskan beers and meads. Also plenty of wine and some PNW brands as well. They do let you break six packs. Staff is knowledgable and friendly. It is a must stop when beer shopping for Alaskan beers. | | bvc (39), Kenmore, Washington | | January 18, 2010 A little bit of an awkward location as it is located in an old mall and it is on a side of the building so it is a little tucked away from the outside. You can get in the store from either the outside facing door or from inside the mall however. Really small, but probably the best overall beer selection in town. They were the only place you could buy singles from the sixer also. Not much liquor but they did have a nice mead selection. Staff seemed nice and ready to answer any questions. If you can only hit one beer store, I would probably go here. | | Aggy360 (10), Anchorage/ Vista,CA, Alaska | | April 29, 2009 [ Updated January 12, 2010 ] Small store with big selection of beers for the size of the store. Well organized. Pamela (owner) makes takes time to get to know her customers. The staff knows their beer (Shout out for Fish and Teagan). The prices are reasonable and you can even make your own 6-pack. Even buy individual beers. They are now starting a beer of the month club, May 09, and will feature beers not available elsewhere in AK or to walk-in customers. Great for anyone to try new brews not readily available in the "Last Frontier." | | savnac (155), Anchorage, Alaska | | March 26, 2009 [ Updated September 24, 2010 ] Great place to get some beer and wine. Pretty small but they pack a lot in there and it’s well organized. The service is great, I’ve always had someone come ask if I need help and they are knowledgeable as well. The selection is very good with all kinds of beers not available anywhere else in town. The great thing too is that you can break apart any 6 pack and buy an individual beer. The value is good, sometimes things are cheaper elsewhere in town but often times not. Overall a great store, I always leave with new beers and can’t wait to go back. | BeerNeedy (1), Anchorage, Alaska does not count - explanation | | February 26, 2009 Nice shop. Knowledgeable beer people. Great beer place. | | BlackDonald (59), Boise, Idaho | | July 31, 2008 Great store, with a staff that does not know a lot about beer but they really try hard and are very friendly. They are about a dollar more expensive on somethings than the Brown Jug warehouse down the street, but I always come here to support them before I support the chain, local or not. They focus on crafts and high end imports only with a great selections of wines as well. Some refrigeration but mostly dry shelf bottles. |
