A really friendly and welcoming pub with a real ’locals’ atmosphere, but still welcoming to ’outsiders’. The beer range is not the biggest you will find, but it is well chosen and high on quality.

Pleasant old fashioned bar with good service and great value for money. Mainly for local people. Tourists are also welcome.

A Friday afternoon (before the Zythos fest) and the place is full of locals and Brits, who like me are over for the beer fest. My wife and I stand at the bar until a table becomes free. There are 7 well used, formica (dull, dis-coloured red) topped wooden tables, the tiled floor is old and its colours are begining to fade, just like the table tops. The yellowing walls hold up old metal brewery adverts from years ago. The locals are as yellow and old as the bar its self, its a proper Belgian pub! The regular De Koninck on tap was very good, there was also the De Koninck Winter Brew and De Koninck Excelsior (cherry beer), I tried both and they were also in fine fettle. A blackboard high up one wall lets you know what is on special offer, I think there were about 6 on the list on my visit. We liked it so much we’ve been back every time we stay in Antwerp: which is normally about every 18 months.

Our " house pub" when we were in Antwerp. Located in a nice area not far fron Rubenhuis. We were here several times during our stay. A classical Antwerp pub. Many regulars.

Great locals brown cafe which specialises in lambic beers. Good ambience, shame they don’t have a better draft selection.

A charming Antwerpen institution right by Rubenshuis and close to the main shopping street. Typical, but cute brown Belgian café. The beer list is not particularly long, but well-focused and seemingly changing frequently. Good lambic representation. Patrons arrive as soon as it opens in the morning and seem to be hanging out, so despite the very central location, it seems to have its regular adepts adding character to the place.

A local bar near the centre of Antwerp. Bit of an old man’s retreat but it seems friendly enough and the beer selection is very good, including a few beers that were new to me.

Wonderful old pub in the heart of Antwerp. They have almost all available geuzes on the menu. I tried the Geuze De Cam. Very reasonable prices considering the pub’s location. Impossible not to find the toilets. People put up beer cards translating "toilet" into almost every language out there. Funny. Charming place overall.

Small patio out front, that was a nice place to meet up. Didn’t really look at the tap list as I was looking for lambic. The menu had standard offerings, but also had had some vintage stuff and the prices were some of the best on the trip. Great place and would highly recommend stopping in when in Antwerp.

Not too big a place, we came here in the afternoon and we found a place right away, there was a very nice lady there to serve us, The list of beers was nice, but not huge for other bars in belgium, But I would definitely stop in here again
