what a great little, quaint store! dropped by here a while back just to check things out and wound up buying quite a few brews from there. noticed that they had a great stock of home-brewing supplies and equipment.

I am going at this review a little differently since I am not a homebrewer. In addition to having homebrew supplies, this store also sells beer. The selection is not the best in the Metroplex, but there is a wide range of beer and a lot of it is very good quality. Since the beer is not the focus of the store, there is not too much turnover in the stock. This can be bad and good. I would be cautious of buying hoppy beers that don’t have bottling dates. However, this place also keeps limited release beers in stock a lot longer than others. There have been several times where beers I thought had been sold out in DFW for several months - for example caged and corked La Folie - were still on the shelves here. The store sells singles as well as six packs. Probably not a place to seek out, but if you are in Arlington, this is not a bad place to stop by.

Stopped by here several months ago to pick up the beginnings of my first homebrew kit. The owner was there at the time, and walked me through each step of what I would need and what I should do to make a successful first batch. He has lots of equipment in stock, as well as all the little things needed to make your brew special. Place looks kind of cluttered though as it’s a small store with a large amount of product. He has a fairly decent selection of beer to choose from if you are just shopping, as well as a build your own 6 option. As far as homebrew options, you can either grab a brew-in-a-box or start from scratch with all grain. He has a large back room filled with tons of different malts, hops and yeasts. Also has literature available with recipes on hand if you don’t know exactly what you need. A great stop for any homebrewer.
