Good tap selection. Bottle selection is nice too. Food is overrated, but there are some good items on the extensive sandwich and pizza menu. Overall a really nice local joint.

Having lived off of Lost Dog takeout for quite a while, this place will sustain you well. It’s loud with the kids and such but a strong beer selection and excellent food makes it worth a visit. Great bottle selection out front if you’re getting takeout.

One of my favorite places in Arlington. Great sandwiches and pizzas, and the beer menu is nice both on tap and especially in bottle. Also, the lady friend loves the Dominion root beer on draft. Service can be slow, and I’ve never been without a wait, but I think it’s worth it. Also, they foster dogs and cats +2 points for being good people.

Lost Dog Cafe has a very extensive beer selection the manager was more than happy to order anything at request. The food is great as long as you order the right thing. Service was ok not great not horrible. Overall if you want a good six pack and an awesome pizza it is a great place to go.

I really wanted to like this place. It had the perfect setup of local pizza joint and serious beer bar, and these are usually the type of places I enjoy most (see Frisco Grille). But as it turns out, the service was horrid - I sat front and center and was ignored nearly the entire time - and the food seemed like it was mailed in. There were a couple of families in here with their loud kids, and when I came in they were taking up real estate at the bar (very bad). Maybe I came on a bad night, but my chicken and corn chowder was a little cold and needed salt, and the waffle fries were even colder, spongier and soft. I didn’t finish them. Tap list looks like it changes often - I had a Stone IPA because nothing else stood out - and the bottle selection is expansive, proboably in the 200-300 range. When it came time to pay up I put down my cash and waiting for change, but was ignored, so after a few minutes I just threw a extra dollar in a headed out. Like I said, I really wanted to like this place but my experience was pretty bad.

The beer selection is pretty good, not great, probably because it’s really a pizza/sandwich place doubling as a beer place. They’ve got a couple of pages worth of a beer selection, and 10-12 taps that they occassionally rotate. The service is generally on the slow side (which gives me an excuse to have an extra beer), but the sandwiches and pizza are very good. It’s noisy and a good place to take kids. As others have said, you won’t find many rare beers here, but you can buy singles instead of full sixes.

A very cute and quaint place to go in Arlington, and pretty much the only game in that part of town. Fun decor, great cause. There’s better selection elsewhere, but you can purchase beer to go. They make a decent ’za, too.

The food is better than the beer at Lost Dog Café. The draft selection has been going down hill over the past few years (my last visit the best draft beer was Anchor Steam, and the keg was flat). They carry lots of bottles however. They have nothing spectacular or rare but still a good selection. Attached to the main restaurant is a mini-beer store. Here they sell everything that is also available through the restaurant. Prices are high but again, the selection is decent.

Best beer place to hit in Arlington, particularly if you're looking for a sandwich as well (make sure to order a side of Dog Collars (spicy onion rings) with your sandiwch). The selection is broad, but you're unlikely to find a rare gem here. Oh, and if you remember, ask for the glass to be room temperature -- the default, unfortunately, is frozen. The package store next to it has the same good selection, but the prices are a bit high.
