72 Previous reviews still hold largely true. Small selection of about 200 bottles, and largely moderate prices in the €3-5 range. Not being real familiar with the Dutch beer scene, a lot of this beer was new to me, but there seemed to be some interesting breweries, like Pigs & Bears, that don’t seem widely distributed. Friendly and helpful staff. |
70 Located in the city center of Arnhem, in a pedestrian zone. Parking available within minutes walking distance, for instance on the north side of the Railway station. (cheaper than city center). Nice store with not that big beer area. A lot of fairly common Dutch and international stuff, but also a few 'hidden gems' I haven't commonly seen in other shops. Fair prices. Friendly staff. Worth a visit once in a while. |
68 Average beer store, selection is good, prices are on the higher side, service ok, |
60 Finally came around visiting this shop (while the wife was shopping for new clothes - so had plenty of time). Decent selction, although not too big. Good location so I can imagine there are many people popping in. Nice service, some beers added to list. Quite high prices. |
58 Centrally located place. Not many beers but a decent selection. |
58 Beperkte bierkeuze, wat standaard belgisch en nederlands spul, wel wat lokaal brouwspul te vinden, nette zaak meer voor wijn en sterke drank |
64 Pretty small but very decent beer selection, when you enter the shop, on the left. On the right side is the counter and strong drinks and the wines are mostly in the back.
Selling some bottles of the Openlucht brouwerij, there’s also some other nice stuff, they got the regular Trappist beers, some other known and lesser known beers and brews (from Chouffe to Bronckhorster) and the surprise was, they had a bunch of beers from Birra del Borgo (bit expensive, around 13 € a bottle) left the store with some of those as well as some local stuff. It was quite crowded so a bit difficult to get more info, while they were friendly enough to take the time and help you.
Decent store with some nice beers, nothing to go out of the way for, but when in the centre, you can sure stop and make a visit. |
62 Lots of belgian and dutch beers, big bottles too. Quite a few of imported beers around the world on the far right corner of the shelves. Some nice glasses too, on a logic price. Speaking of prices, they’re far more expensive than other beer shops in the area, plenty of examples to give.
Not much space to move unfortunately, since the beer shelves are right next to the door and they use the space in between for decorations/advertising.
Good service I would say, they will let you browse as long as you want, plus in one case they replaced a bad bottle of mine without making a big fuss. |
60 We visited here on Monday 1st October 2012. There was a reasonable range of what appeared to be predominantly Belgian and Dutch beers and the prices did not seem to bad. However there was wasn’t an awful lot of beers that would just as easily crop up elsewhere. Beers were situated at the front of the shop mainly on the left hand side, nice shop, spacier than many and fairly central. |
74 Good wine and beer store, but Mitra are better. |
