This would be a very good brewery & restaurant in an area with less competition...but in Asheville the competition is numerous with a bar that keeps rising (good for the craftbeer fan of course). I have to say that given that, Asheville Brewing does not stand out as much for the craftbeer traveler visiting Asheville. They have a good selection of beers...no less than 15 when I visited recently. This should probably be a place you checkout on maybe your 3rd visit to Asheville...too many others rank higher.

I didnít get the diner feel that others claim, but the pub was cozy and friendly. Had a flight of beers as we moved down Coxe Avenue which were very good. Service was quick, but we were here in the early afternoon. Still, a nice stop.

Stopped by here after dinner. Inside reminds me of a typical pizza parlor. Outside area is industrial, and very cool. Tables, games, etc. Lots of fun. Service away from bar is a little slow, but nothing to be too shocked about compared to most places. They had some solid beers on tap, which was nice. Samplers are affordable.

We were early for the Funkatorium tour so we stopped here for a small bite and a flight. The simple-diner decorated brewpub offers indoor/outdoor seating. Draft beers were listed on the chalkboards, I believe 15 or so offerings. The beers were average overall, the shared appetizer was pretty good. Service was friendly, overall a decent stop but nothing too exciting.

I actually visited this place on the night of July 3rd. We had open air seating outdoors with pigeons above in the rafters. They did not have many brews on the menu. The board was current, but the menu wasnít.

Visited 03/12/15. Convenient location right in the thick of it in downtown Asheville. Its close proximity to Wicked Weed, Burial etc making it an easy stop on a crawl. The space itself is large and visually uninteresting. I sat at the bar and received prompt service. There were 15ish beers available including a few treatments of their core beers. No guests were offered on tap. Their flagship IPA, Shiva, was overly sweet, but most other things I tried were solid. Prices were OK. Overall, worth a stop if youíre on a deep dive of Ashevilleís scene.

The outside area looks inviting if it werenít 7 degrees outside. The inside is kinda set up like a diner. The staff is friendly and they have 15 house brews on tap.

Our first stop in Asheville. The indoor and outdoor seating areas are fairly big, lots of room. Just happened to be Mystery Hop night, so we tried a sampler, all were very good. Our waitress was great, food was excellent, had a really good time. By far a great place to hang out.

Interior is homey and lived-in, making for a relaxing atmosphere. Music is not too loud, and when I wast her the TVs were on but with sound off. Server is efficient and friendly. Gotta go for the buffet - good food, fresh veggies! Beer is their own, which is first-rate. Iíve had a couple of their offerings in bottles, but itís better from a tap. Come on, get hoppy here!
