My favorite place to but beer in NC! If beer knowledge, service, cool atmosphere, and a nice selection is what you want... this is the place to get it!

Wonderful, friendly little place in a nice downtown Asheville neighborhood. This place has it all. The only disadvantage is the prices, which I find to be about 10-20 percent higher than they should be. But it is the only place in town where I’ve been able to find things like Victory’s Old Horizontal.

I had no idea I had not rated this place yet. I am fortunate enough to get to stop by there at least 1-2 times /year and I am always well rewarded. The selection is excellent and the staff is friendly. In a great neighborhood right near various breweries and other bars and beers stores. All and all this whole area is a one stop beer super center. Additionally, you occasionally get a free beer glass (depending on the size of your purchase) of your choosing. Always a great stop.

This store has a good selection although I don’t know that it is any better than Green’s in Atlanta. There will be some things from the Carolinas here that won’t be found in GA, KY or TN but some of the finds may be $1or 2 higher than those locations. When asked, they pointed me right to their only Berliner Weisee so they know their styles and inventory. They were closed on Sat of Brewgrass and had sold out of some items I wanted by the time I got there on Sunday. I found the sold out items for a few dollars less in an out of the way Homebrew/beer/wine store on other side of town. Still worth a stop.

I have to say, this is one of the best beer stores I’ve ever been to. Great selection, good pricing, and very helpful staff. I made a large purchase and they threw in a free glass to boot. Don’t forget to taste whatever they may have on tap in the tasting area. This is a must stop if you are in the Asheville area.

These guys are doing it right. They are a specialty beer store, period. The owner is passionate about beer (rightly so being from Colorado) and takes care to stock quality beers from around the world. This is the one place to stop for beer and glassware in Asheville.

I visited today (a Saturday) and was very pleased. This place was a true beer store. They sell nothing but beer. And lots of good beer at that. They have a huge variety of imports, American craft, and a good selection of locals. Everything is divided appropriately and you can buy six packs or singles. They tossed in a glass since I bought so much. So now I’ve got another tulip glass to add to the collection. I picked up a Cantillon, Fantome, Pisgah, Struise, Great Divide, and so on. There were some growlers for sale as well. They answered all my questions and were very knowledgeable. Great selection, great service, prices were in line with other stores, and I went home happy. A+

stopped in right before the fourth of july weekend and things looked a little picked over. lots of empty slots on the shelves. still looked like a cool place. found a few of the carolina locals and two founders I’d not tried. small space and was packed with people when I went. didn’t get a chance to talk with the staff much but they seemed attentive and knowledgeable. will have to stop in again next time I’m in town.

Visited over Memorial Day weekend. Small, but very nice selection for the size. I had a list of regional beers to try and got quite a few- most of the rest seemed to be seasonal anyway. Fair prices. Asheville is lucky to have a great place like this right downtown.

Place was a lot smaller than I anticipated. Still a fantastic selection of Belgian and American micros. Case after case of beers. Found a few beers I’ve been wanting to try that I’ve been unable to find singles of here in the Philly area. 800 beers though?? No way. Prices were more than reasonable. A must at some point while you’re in Asheville.
