The Beer Growler is just a short drive from downtown and is a welcome addition to the beer scene in Athens. The growler selection is solid and is the main focus of this store. There are somewhere around 100 bottles, I’d say. Rather than stockpiling all sorts of bottled beer they have kept a reasonable, quality selection with a primary focus on local brews. I didn’t see anything super rare like I’ve found at Five Points Bottle shop, but the fact that the beer seems well rotated and the shopping experience was incredibly stress free will bring me back.
