RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
Green’s has a large selection similiar to Jax in Sandy Springs but the locations may be more accessible depending where in Atlanta you are. The place is a bit cleaner than Jax where even the new bottles seem to have a layer of dust on them. You’ll be able to find all the local stuff here, plus a large selection imports and micros, but, like the rest of Atlanta liquor stores, they seem to focus more on the imports and less on the micros. One location is at 737 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE and the other is at 2612 Buford HWY NE. Green’s website has a link to Ratebeer.com. Check ’em out!

Not the best beer store in Atlanta any more now that Hop City is out there but still has a great selection and of course the Belgian Beer cooler.

This used to be one of my favs. They still have a pretty good selection, but it seems to be getting harder and harder to find someone that really knows and cares about beer. If you know what you are looking for, you can usually find it here, but there’s not an abundance of beer enthusiasts lurking to enlighten you.

Whenever in Atlanta, we hit Green’s to load up on Sweetwater to bring back home. Great selection of imports as well. The best place in downtown to get beer.

Both Green’s stores are fantastic, must stops in the Atlanta area, there is very little you will find elsewhere that you can’t find here. Some bottles available in singles. Spent way too much on several occassions.

Doesn’t look like much other than just your average package store from the outside, but inside there is a nice selection plus a walk in Belgium cellar with at least 30 different brews. Overall a good beer store, that has a decent wine selection along with some good bourbon

Much easier to get in and out of compared to the Buford Hwy store so that is a huge plus. The walk in Belgian cooler is pretty neat. Bring cash or use a debit card to get the discount.

Plenty of parking, fairly easy to find, it is not large but has a fabulous beer selection. Not only are there plenty of six-packs and samplers of locals, craft brews and imports, there are a whole lot of single bottles so you can stock up on favorites - and maybe grab a bottle or three for trade. ;) They have a huge wine selection in addition to all the beer, and plenty of various liquors of all sorts. Their personnel are not the friendliest nor the most aware that I have met, but they are not surly or distant either; at least they are more than acceptable. If you live in or near downtown Atlanta, this is a good place to stock up on suds.

Stopped in here while I was in Atlanta for the SEC title game. This place is pretty big for a liquor store. It reminds me of the ABC liquors down in Florida. They have a good variety of wine and liquor to go with the beer. You can find all the local stuff here and the belgian beer walk in cooler is awesome. I was able to pick up some stuff that I can’t get in FL. Pretty good selection of imports including the brewdog stuff which is very cool. Service was good and they helped me find what I needed. Good prices on most everything also. Nice store thast I woould gladly go to again next time I am in town.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, and wish I’d had more time to look around. Nevertheless, still managed to spend more money than I needed to here. Large selection, and the service was efficient, if not overly friendly. I will definately go back.

This is a serious beer store. Kick ass is the word. The Belgian beer fridge is way too cool. The selection was huge and so far everything has been fresh. Service was decent. I like it. One of the better stores in the US that I’ve seen.
