RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
Green’s has a large selection similiar to Jax in Sandy Springs but the locations may be more accessible depending where in Atlanta you are. The place is a bit cleaner than Jax where even the new bottles seem to have a layer of dust on them. You’ll be able to find all the local stuff here, plus a large selection imports and micros, but, like the rest of Atlanta liquor stores, they seem to focus more on the imports and less on the micros. One location is at 737 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE and the other is at 2612 Buford HWY NE. Green’s website has a link to Ratebeer.com. Check ’em out!

| Butters (150), Virginia | | September 1, 2009 This might just be the best selection at a bottle shop I’ve ever come across. And hands down the lowest prices, plus discounts. 2% off for paying cash, 5% off for buying 12 or more bombers or cases. Definitely a must stop. | | lithy (93), Knoxville, Tennessee | | June 30, 2009 Both Green’s stores are fantastic, must stops in the Atlanta area, there is very little you will find elsewhere that you can’t find here. Some bottles available in singles. Spent way too much on several occassions. | | AtlAggie (11), Atlanta, Georgia | | June 8, 2009 Good selection of both imports (particularly Belgians) and craft beers (all those available in GA). Toss up between this location and the Ponce one for better beer selection--occasionally do find something at one not at the other, but they overlap for the most part. Decent prices. Only complaint is lack of ability to mix your own sixers. | | ben4321 (41), Rockville, Maryland | | April 21, 2009 I swung by this place when I was in Atlanta to pick up a variety of local beers. The selection seemed pretty nice, though I was focused on the stuff from Georgia and the Carolinas, so I didn’t spend much time checking out the other options (really only in passing). Overall a pretty decent shop, but it didn’t appear as though they had a beer expert on staff (though it could have been he was just off when I went in). Also, they didn’t offer 12 oz singles, so I wound up buying lots of 750s and 6 packs. | | DragonStout (73), Pataskala, Ohio | | April 9, 2009 Made a stop here to check it out.Great selection of brews.I was slightly dissapointed that they didn’t offer enough of their local beers as singles.Other wise great store and decent pricing. | | BeerVirgin72 (75), Pataskala, Ohio | | April 9, 2009 Stopped in here on our way out of town. Very nice clean and well lit store. Plenty of parking. Lots of selection of both six packs and singles. A few things I had never seen before in Ohio or Florida. Prices were reasonable, and we spent quite a few bucks here. A very nice gem here in Altanta! | | jzzbassman (16), New Albany, Mississippi | | March 19, 2009 I spent more than double here than anywhere I’ve ever been. Great selection, and I was happy they cut me a break at checkout...saving me nearly $100. | | daknole (90), Plantation, Florida | | March 19, 2009 DAMN what a selection. Singles, imports, locals, micros, and more. I wish they would break all 6 packs, but their selection is amazing. A goldmine if in Atlanta. | | nqualls (35), Nashville, Tennessee | | February 23, 2009 This place has a great selection of micro bombers, belgians and other foreign beers. This is a must hit if you’re in Atlanta. The prices are fair, and they always have new stuff. | | osu97gp (11), Atlanta, Georgia | | January 24, 2009 Good selection of Belgiums from what I could tell. It is a little scary to exit the parking lot though. | View Page: 1 2 3 4
