6 reviews for Macs Beer and Wine
| Cybercat (42), Georgia | | April 18, 2009 Located on West Peachtree near the Midtown MARTA rail station, Mac’s has an impressive selection of beers and other strong drink. They have quite a few single bottles of craft beers, as well as plenty of six-packs of locals and imports. Prices are about average for Atlanta. They frequently have close-outs of decent beers, and have seasonal offerings on sale when those beers are out of season - for example, winter brews are available for bargain prices in spring and summer. Definitely worth a visit. | | CheersMate1 (34), Atlanta, Georgia | | November 20, 2008 This place is awesome. Almost, better than Greens. Greens is only better in the sense that they have more selection, but again not by much. What Greens has Macs will eventually get. Macs has a lot better of a pale lager, get you drunk for real cheap selection. It is located right next to Georgia Tech. They sell 12-packs of 24 oz. PBRs for 15$. They sell Keystone, PBR 30-packs. They sell 12-packs of 40 oz. This place is great, and I love it just as much as I love Greens. Not much to look at on the inside, but this is a liquor store, so I really don’t care what it looks like. | | jrob21 (42), Atlanta, Georgia | | February 1, 2008 Decent singles wall and carries some of the more interesting things distributed in the fine state. Really great wine selection too for all you winos. Make sure you look hard though because some of the beers are socked away at the bottom of coolers and on the corner of shelves. Friendly staff, easy parking. | | BeerloverEJ21 (10), Georgia | | August 29, 2007 This place is pretty cool, right downtown, fairly easy to get to if you know where you’re going. Its got a pretty good selection of beers from all over. Price is probably the most attractive part. | | PorterPounder (180), Tallahassee, Florida | | August 3, 2007 Nice, clean, well-lit store in dowtown Atlanta - even has onsite parking with easy access. Good solid selection - picked up about 10 or so I had not had yet. They sell singles - but you have to buy at least 6! Has plenty of regional micros, a few Belgian standards, some eastern Euro lager types. Not a destination, but if you are passing through ATL - convenient to I-75/I-85. | GaBeerLvr (1), does not count - explanation | | April 5, 2007 I have been Shopping at Mac’s for a few years now. and I love this place!! They Have the Best customer service anywhere in Atlanta, they reciently added many new beers to there selection and I must say I am very Impressed. There prices are equal to or better then Greens. and with the clean bright store and customer service Mac’s is worth a trip. Parking lot can be a little bit of a hassle on busy nights but not to bad. Tip: cash is a 3% discount. |
