Happened to be staying the weekend across the street from Mac’s. Good selection of both locals and some east coast items. Not everything is refrigerated, still a good selection of beers to choose from. Staff came by a few times to make sure we found what we were looking for, even offering to help if needed. Good sized store, well organized and plenty of parking. Worth the trip.

Place right at the center of midtown. Packed full of liqour, wine and beer. Good selection of beer, knot a ton of local stuff but enough. Not very many singles available. Prices are what I expected downtown.

First visit here in a few years. The beer selection has greatly improved. Prices are mostly very good with some odd variations for both better and worse. I was able to find a couple of rarities here (from Stone and Prairie) that I haven’t been able to find in elsewhere in either SC or GA. Particularly strong collection of local brews. Cash discount. Mixed-6 singles available in frint left corner.

Grocery store with a half-decent selection of beer. I am not too aware of what is a typical selection in this state so I’m assuming this is a standard selection. Typical widely available Belgian and imports. About 200 different American brews. A lot of them cold and ready to go in a big fridge. You won’t find crazy beer here but if you are in a hotel downtown (like I was) this place is a very good option because walking distance from many of the biggest downtown hotels. I bought the one-off Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary Fritz & Ken, the surprising New Belgium Lips of Faith (Biere de Mars) and the so-so French Broad Rye Hopper. This place was my saviour when I was stranded in Atlanta for one night because of the Iceland volcano eruption.

Pretty good selection of good beers. Plenty of local beers and a good mix of Belgians. Focuses more on wine and liquor and caters to the college students at nearby Georgia Tech. The prices aren’t bad, and the workers are friendly, but not that helpful.

Mac’s is one of several second tier beer stores in Atlanta, although it’s a little closer to the interstate than most. If you can get to Hop City or Greens, go there instead, but this place does keep a good selection of beers.

Located on West Peachtree near the Midtown MARTA rail station, Mac’s has an impressive selection of beers and other strong drink. They have quite a few single bottles of craft beers, as well as plenty of six-packs of locals and imports. Prices are about average for Atlanta. They frequently have close-outs of decent beers, and have seasonal offerings on sale when those beers are out of season - for example, winter brews are available for bargain prices in spring and summer. Definitely worth a visit.

This place is awesome. Almost, better than Greens. Greens is only better in the sense that they have more selection, but again not by much. What Greens has Macs will eventually get. Macs has a lot better of a pale lager, get you drunk for real cheap selection. It is located right next to Georgia Tech. They sell 12-packs of 24 oz. PBRs for 15$. They sell Keystone, PBR 30-packs. They sell 12-packs of 40 oz. This place is great, and I love it just as much as I love Greens. Not much to look at on the inside, but this is a liquor store, so I really don’t care what it looks like.

Decent singles wall and carries some of the more interesting things distributed in the fine state. Really great wine selection too for all you winos. Make sure you look hard though because some of the beers are socked away at the bottom of coolers and on the corner of shelves. Friendly staff, easy parking.
