Great place to visit and sit on the rooftop patio or admire the owners extensive beer can and memorabilia collection inside. This is my local watering hole so I have a lot of good things to say about it. The selection is pretty good for a full blown restaurant. However, I think their beer prices are sky high in comparission to other beer bars.

Overlooks historic oakland cementary. Great outdoor seating, great beer selection, great seafood. Servcie is quick and efficient and the food is really good. A step above a pub. Does look a little sketchy from the outside and the neighborhood it is in, but it is worth a trip

A great seafood joint with a surprisingly good beer selection. If you don’t like seafood, don’t bother. The food is great. The atmosphere is friendly and lively. The servers are friendly and reasonably fast. The selection of beer is rather large, and the beers on tap are very good. They have several good mainstream beers, some unusual domestics and imports, and several local brews, including seasonals. The food is a little pricy, and the beer isn’t the cheapest I’ve seen, but isn’t too bad. I highly recommend visiting this place.

The food at this casual seafood-oriented place is very good, although the focus is clearly on fried. I’ve eaten here three times between lunch and dinner and haven’t been disappointed. I particularly like the Po’boy. The beer menu is somewhat disappointing. Yes, there are 20 or so different draft offerings but very little true craft beer. I had a Shiner Commemerator and Red Brick Chocolate Oatmeal Porter, among others. Still, it is worth the trip for the food and the atmosphere.

GREAT FOOD, definilty why you should go. Have a couple sweet water and terrapin, a handful of other good grabs in the bottle, but you are not there for the beer, but for the food. I pulled up and had to make sure I was at the right place, looks like a dive, but once in I was very comfortable. Food is phenominal. Definitly a hidden place that I was glad to come across. Most people probably by pass this place, it would be their loss..

An excellent bar for anybody who loves seafood. They have more imports and micros than the typical watering hole. The name comes from the fact that they are located opposite Atlanta’s historic Oakland Cemetery, which makes an interesting view while you’re chugging some suds - and perhaps a good reminder to drink responsibly! Service is very good, and the waiters are friendly and fast. Since they are walking distance from the King Memorial rail station, you can let MARTA be your designated driver - if you visit during the daylight hours, as they are in a rather scruffy neighborhood.

A surprise in a pretty dodgy neighbourhood. We laughed at people who kept telling us we can’t walk there from downtown, but once we got there (by cab from Little 5 Points after the bartender at the Front page news warned us not to walk) we understood. This is sort of like a roadhouse seafood place. Wood panelling, lots of fish-oriented decorations. I’m a vegetarian, so the food selection was a little weak for me--had to have a bunch of deep fried sides. But the beer was goooood. I can’t recall the taps, but there were some solid locals, Sweetwaters’ full line, I think, including their festive ale. They had a great barleywine the name of which escapes me. Stuff from Brooklyn, and Massachusets. Even some Sam Smith’s (which seems very big in Atlanta). A good selection overall. If you want a low key, not fancy seafood shack with great beer, well, this is it. You can get there on the subway, if you’re okay with walking the few blocks through what looks like a somewhat sketchy area. We did it, and survived.

Rotating taps of domestic micros with the occasional belgian. When I was there last night they had a couple of Brooklyns, Sweetwaters, Terrapins, Chimay, Corsendonk Bottle. Great neighborhood joint with a decent beer selection. Oh yeah, it helps that I can now stumble home from this place.
