5 reviews for Taco Mac - Metropolis
| mcrowther (10), ATLANTA, Georgia | | November 19, 2009 Selection is the thing here- a ton of taps with a lot of good beer. They also will do some special kegs/firkins now and then. Food is average bar food, service is decent, but I wish they would stop serving the beer in chilled glasses. Very good place to watch sports and have a fine brew. | | daknole (90), Plantation, Florida | | August 12, 2009 Good times at Taco Mac! Good service and selection. | | Cybercat (42), Georgia | | February 23, 2009 When you walk in it seems a bit angular and shiny for a beer bar, but you still feel invited in. There are a lot of large-screen TVs, which make this an ideal place to catch a sporting event, such as the Super Bowl. The servers are well-trained and alert, and even when the place is busy they make sure that you receive attention. Food is better than the average bar food - maybe not gourmet, but still quite toothsome. They have a good variety of appetizers and sandwiches.
Their beer selection is just plain awesome. Not only do they have over 100 beers on-tap, but there are hundreds of different bottles, mainly craft brews and imports. In addition, you can join the Taco Mac Passport for free to keep track of the different beers you have tried, rather like the Passport Club at the Summits Wayside Taverns. Just a couple blocks from the Midtown MARTA station, this is a great place to meet with friends for a game, or just to chat and enjoy good beer. | | Suttree (86), Knoxville, Tennessee | | February 2, 2009 Kind of antiseptic, I guess, but clean and open. Service was very friendly and efficient, but we were there on an early afternoon and the place pretty empty. I was blown away by the selection. The food was solidly not bad. I would’ve loved to spend some more time here. | jburns00 (2), Atlanta, Georgia does not count - explanation | | September 16, 2008 Taco Mac’s newest location in Atlanta, GA right on Peachtree St. Staff is very knowledgeable on beers and beer varieties. The food is about average bar fare. Taco mac passport club still applies here, so you can keep track of your beers at any Taco Mac and get rewarded along the way. Overall beer selection is excellent. Parking can be difficult because of the location ($5) if you park in the parking deck, however one can usually find street parking after 6 pm for free. If you work in the area of Peachtree and 10th, this is definitely a place to stop after work. |
