Small, dimly lit bar in a nook off Ponce. The interior is far too small, and the feel is cramped and noisy. The woodwork and stained glass window provide a nice look. The service was prompt and friendly. The selection is small, but what they have is very good. The food is delicious, but there isn’t much to choose from. The food is overpriced, but the beer is very reasonably priced. Overall, a fun little place.

Have only visited the Bookhouse once, but was impressed. We’re regulars at the Porter and the Brick Store. Nice list and half of the beers were only $4/pint - can’t beat that! Loved the beauty of the pub, and they were playing really good tunes. Bartender was very friendly. Wish it was a little closer to my ’hood (East Lake) but would definitely visit here again. Heard the food isn’t that great but we didn’t eat.

This pub is a little off Ponce de Leon opposite Green’s, and it can be a bit hard to find but is worth checking out. Parking lot has a decent number of spaces, and they are on at least one frequently running bus line. Interior is dark and cozy, and the music is subtle. They have a couple outdoor seating areas, a patio with a large table and a few smaller ones, and a back area with more intimate seating. Inside they have small tables, a few booths and an average size bar. The servers are helpful and knowledgeable, if not the fastest in town. Food is very good and worth the price. Their selection of beers is pretty good, focusing on micros and imports - I don’t recall seeing any big brews on their drink menu. Definitely worth a visit!

This place is kind of small, but very cool. The tap list is rather short, but they do include some tasty beers. Food is very good. The place is not open for lunch. If you go during the week between 5 and 6:30, they have a "happy hour" menu that basically includes reduced price food. We had the smoked trout mac & cheese and the steak and mashed potato dishes - and they were awesome and very cheap (value definitely scores a 10 during happy hour, but more like a 6-7 otherwise, so I put an 8 here). This is a fun little place for sure.

This is a great place with terrible curb-appeal. We’ve been there for their awesome happy hour where you get some great food deals. The interior is really wonderful, the draft selection is small but well chosen. There is a patio on the parking lot side in the front but a much more appealing one in the back. The staff was quite friendly and it really is a surprise to find a place this nice in that neighborhood.

This pub is directly across the street from Green’s on Ponce. I can’t believe I’ve never seen it before. The ambiance is excellent: very, very dark and classy with books, wood carvings, and candles all over the place. A large back patio is available. The beer list is very good for the area. I had some Stone Levitation which I’ve not seen available before. The taps and bottles are split pretty evenly between imports and microbrews. No space is wasted on macro swill. The smoked salmon mac and cheese is pretty awesome. My only complaint is the service was painfully, painfully slow. To our server’s credit, it was Friday night and the place was on the full side, but it took an unreasonable amount of time to get one round of beers and an appetizer. I may stop in again if I’m staying near the area. I’ll try to sit at the bar if I can.
