| box986 (10), | | April 21, 2012 they serve some big beers in a 16oz pint, i stumbled away from the place | | watson1977 (55), The dub c, Pennsylvania | | April 10, 2012 Not quite as nice as the glen mills location but its one of the few places in AC i could easily find to grab a decent beer. Its a little dark and drab but the food is good enough to soak up the drunkeness and a few tasty beers can be had. Prices are fair and service is friendly. | | claspada (10), Hoboken, New Jersey | | August 11, 2010 Kinda odd placement for a bar with a mild fist pumping ambiance. Great selection of beer but it will cost you for sure. Bring the plastic if you want to sample here. | | koopa (13), , New Jersey | | May 28, 2010 I’ve been to Firewaters in Atlantic City about half a dozen times in the past couple of years and it remains the staple for good brew in AC.
The interior atmosphere could use lots of improvement IMHO as could the bartenders knowledge and service level. But the selection is near excellent, making up for everything that is lacking.
Pricing is more expensive than a standard bar but not as much as you would expect from a high end beer bar in a casino. Pints range from $4 - $8 bucks fro the most part. 750ml bottles can range from $10 - 25 bucks on average. Obviously they have some selections that are more expensive but I’m just trying to illustrate that lots of offerings are there to be had in the price ranges I’ve listed.
Reviewed on: 09-01-2008 | | Leafs93 (74), Conshohocken, Pennsylvania | | January 24, 2010 Very nice selection of bottles and drafts. I think its 50 taps and 100 bottles. Something for everyone. Have been a couple times and always head there ealry in the evening. Was surprised to see it packed late night...but sad to see everyone holding Miller lights. Terrible atmosphere late night, when not crowded its just ok. Also as stated below, they are quick to clear drinks, even when still full. | | lalu (37), Laval, Quebec | | December 29, 2009 The only reason to hit this place is the lack of any other options in the area.
Great tap selection but look closely at your glass before you take your first sip.
I have had dirty glasses, gunk from dirty lines and flies from a glass that was sitting on top of the refrigerator.
they obviously do not give a damn about their customers and the products they sell
it is a shame that a place that serves such a line up of beers treat my favorite beverage in such ways.
I will go again but only because i hate drinking anything else.
next time i will concentrate on the bottles. | | Chalsk (39), North Caldwell, New Jersey | | December 25, 2009 [ Updated February 17, 2010 ] Overrated in comparison to my favorite spots. Solid selection for AC. But nothing over the top. The pub has no ambiance because it is essentially a small bar area adjacent to the casino floor. As beer popluarity grows, I would expect a real brew mecca to find a home. This is a side show, and not a stand alone place. | | Glouglouburp (259), Montreal, Quebec | | August 28, 2009 Visited summer 2008. Now this is a place I could describe without my notes. One of the most memorable places of my pub-crawler life, and for all the bad reasons. First the beer selection is quite amazing. 51 taps (that’s fifty-one!!!) with only about 5 of them sub-par crap for the tourists. Decent bottle selection too but with 51 taps you won’t get to it. The ambiance is something else!!! As far as true beer-bars is concerned this takes the cake for the tackiest most kitsch losers hangout. Worlds can’t describe the tacky disco DJ, worlds cannot describe the drunk losers that think that Atlantic City is the shit, worlds cannot describe the drunk fat chicks dressed up for a night out at the Casinos. This place is amazing. I went early in the evening with the girlfriend and went back late at night by myself. I could spend a week doing people watching there. Now back to the beer. I also had on tap Rogue Charlie which is a rarer Rogue. WARNING: Most customers drink alcohol or macros. With 51 tap lines a few are most likely not very fresh. My Founders Breakfast Stout was in poor condition. Highly recommended for those with a twisted sense of humour. | | Bonster (29), Jersey Shore, New Jersey | | August 4, 2009 Atmosphere is typical casino bar but they offer a much better selection than anyplace in AC. | quierocerveza (2), New Jersey does not count - explanation | | July 28, 2009 Firewaters is one of the best places around AC to get a fresh brew. Good selection but need to gear up with the glass ware. |
