| pari6819 (40), Florida | | March 20, 2012 Pretty decent place. Good atmosphere and some fine selections of beer, especially in their speciality range. Better food than beer though. | | Mora2000 (51), Dallas, Texas | | November 16, 2011 A nice brewpub with very good food located in the Arboretum area of Austin. The bar has about eight taps, only serving NxNW beer. Many of the year round beers are average at best, but the brewery’s sour beers and some of the special beers can be very good. The food is also very good, the best of all the Austin brewpubs. The pub occasionally bottles beers and sells them for off-premises consumption. They will also fill any growlers, regardless of which brewery they are from. | | SPDickerman (27), Texas | | July 23, 2011 Excellent restaurant, definitely no doubt. Great food. Good staff. Their in-house beer doesn’t seem to be that good though, I had the "sampler" and the beers they gave were not great, but not bad. Go there to eat, but not drink. | | SudsMcDuff (112), .....Manchester United.........., Texas | | August 23, 2010 [ Updated February 6, 2012 ] Man, this place makes some very tasty special brews, their kriek is truly killer!! .. the food is pretty good, and the location is pretty but quite out the way, that’s the only knock .. . have sometimes have bottles for say and huge growlers too ($$) .. . they make great beer here and its a nice scenic drive.. :update: but when nothing special is on, not even close to being unique... | | blutt59 (121), Dallas, Texas | | June 6, 2010 Easy to find, stone and glass pub in northwest Austin with good food, quality beer and friendly staff, no guest taps but have 7-8 of their own and trying to fold in a lambic tap and usually a good quality higher ABV, also some bottling | | theisti (273), Leawood, Kansas | | May 19, 2010 I got into Austin pretty late, and was staying at a hotel nearby. Interior of the restaurant is big new and pretty nice. I sat out on the patio, as it was a beautiful May evening. Service was prompt, though a bit thin on the beer knowledge. When I visited it was a pretty straightforward "brewpub" selection of beers - I had the Wit which was the special. I also had the tri-tip pizza and it was very dull. Overall, seemed like they were sort of going through the motions. | | jumpjet2k (15), Houston, Texas | | November 16, 2009 NXNW has some amazing food. I’ll start with that. If nothing else, go there for the food and enjoy some nice beers while you’re at it. That said, go for the special beers, because the standard lineup isn’t anything to go crazy for. They’re good standard beers, but nothing too interesting. The special beers are often great, though - watch out for the dark kriek, which is one of the best beers in Texas. Blackjack is often available and very nice, as well. NXNW has a cool lodge/industrial ambiance, which is very nice. I’ve also never had any service problems. If you’re hosting a party, get one of their kegs - only $45 for 5.5gal and $95 for a half-barrel. For the beer you’re getting, it’s hard to beat those prices. I purchased a keg with a picnic tap that unfortunately wouldn’t seal, but when I told them of the problem they gave me a coupon for 20% off my next keg. The rest of the service has been great, as well. | BgThang (9), Texas does not count - explanation | | May 5, 2009 tHIS PLACE HAS SOME DAMN GOOD FOOD. tHERE IS A CHEF IN THE KITCHEN WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?
Damn caplock key, anywho they brew their own beer here. Majority is a tad above average. Their lambics are killer!. It is a little pricey for your average person, they have freaking valet service as well!.
Their cask are great. And ytou can get your corny kegs filles here as well
| | dnstone (37), Alamogordo, New Mexico | | April 15, 2009 Beers were your standard "chain-micro-brew" watered down beer. Food was just ok. A nice building and atmosphere but definately not a must for Austin beer stops. | | mar (60), Dallas, Texas | | April 12, 2009 Great Sunday afternoon with no crowd at all. Server was knowledgeable about the beer and was very helpful. Decently priced and a very nice atmosphere. I’ll be stopping in again. |
