Nice selection of drafts. Good bottle selection also. Their beers are interesting as well. Busy every time I’ve been there so service can take a bit and parking is a pain. Too place and definitely worth a visit.

OK, this is definitely a bizarre place. It’s just south of town of I-35. Small parking lot out front. The outside looks kind of decrepit and off-putting. But step inside and you are in sort of an Elvis meets Bollywood meets 7 Eleven meets beer geek nirvana. The bar on the left has elevated stools and chalk drawings of Ganesh, the elephanr god. They have house beers, supposedly brewed on premises, under the name Kamala Brewing - even though it was just ten in the morning, I had to partake, even though a flight of four was $15. They were pretty tasty and creative, and paired well with a sort of curry meets TexMex breakfast. The colers in back have an interesting range of local, regional, national, Belgian and German beers - and yes, even some from the imperial land of the former raj. Service is very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a stop.

Eclectic indoor and outdoor space with lots of Indian and Asian influence. Food is good and an East meets West fusion. Selection of beer is pretty big and the staff know their stuff. A good place to go.

Oddest nano brewery/brewpub/beerstore that I have ever been to. Eclectic only in Austin vibe. Long, odd bar, beers to go. House beers, guest taps, coffee, tea, kombucha. Friendly service, good prices. Easy parking. Doesn’t look like much from the outside. The bathroom smells like someone died in it. Oddly conflicted and confused, but I enjoyed my time there.

Odd place. Is it an Indian restaurant? A bar ? A bottle shop? All apparently, but for me this seems to result in compromises on all. To be honest I didn’t try the food, but the bar looks shabby and the amount of storage for beers is fairly limited. Some nice beers are available and New ones are clearly marked as such, which is nice, but from the top rated Austin beer shop I expected quite a bit more. Professional but not very personal service. I left with good beers but also a bit disappointed, especially when I then found almost all of them at a lower price at Central Market. They seem to have their heart at the right place, but the place needs work.

Visited October 2011.

Stopped in early in the morning for an eye opener. Actually it was about noon, so not quite as depressing. Also stopped back in later that same night to grab a beer and listen to some live music. This is a bottle shop that has a pretty large selection with some neat stuff. Tons of Texas-made beer that I had never heard of on tap in addition to some of the bigger name stuff. They do samples which helps if you have no idea what half the stuff on tap is. Service was good and helpful. The place smelled strongly of Indian spices which isn’t bad per se but if you’re not into that it could be bothersome. The patio in the back is the way to go if it’s open but the bar is nice as well. I need to get back now that they’re brewing (supposedly).

Neat place I stopped in here in Austin. Looks like crap from the outside, but a cool eclectic feel on the inside. Indian type food (though, not what you normally think) and huge tap list (lots of Texas beers). Bottle selection is decent but nothing to call home about. Grabbed my first Jester King brew here and sat with some food and had a good time. Music seems like every night, too (I only came for lunch time). Highly recommended if you are in the area.

A beer store/beer bar/Indian restaurant that is extremely unique. They have a nice outdoor seating area and inside is a bit dark but even have a stage for music. Bartender was extremely friendly and quite knowledgeable. Tons of taps and about 4-5 house beers. Then you have the store which has a ton of bottles as well. Food was great and prices were good as well! Should this place be listed as a brewery? Bar? Beer store? I don’t know, but all I know is it is an absolute must hit!

They have great selection on tap and in the store. A knowledgeable staff , can help you make up your mind. Keep an eye out for their rare and/or aged beer on tap.

Visited here a few weeks ago. Busy and tight parking. Nice bar with some decent on-premises brews. Nice people behind the bar. Great bottle selection. Didn’t eat. Worth a visit when in Austin.
