| JohnRMurdoch (208), Glasgow, Scotland | | March 14, 2010 [ Updated March 21, 2010 ] Nice quiet little family run brew pub. Husband is chef, wife brewer of the fantastic Windie Goat Ales. Great homely atmosphere and food is good. Only problem here is the location - well off the beaten track with very limited public transport which means you have to drive here. Not ideal if you want to have a few beers. Need to go with a non-drinker driver. Sadly being sold at the end of March 2010. Brewery will disappear. | Rincewind (1), does not count - explanation | | February 20, 2010 Small old-fashioned rural pub with real coal fires in winter and a beer garden overlooking the river in summer. Add six pub-brewed real ales (in rotation), a small but well-cooked, tasty menu and friendly, helpful service and you have a great wee pub. Dog friendly too for the many walkers who drop in on their way past. |
