This is another bar just a block from Max’s. I love the Thursday Belgian night with mussels and special prices on all Belgian bottles. They routinely have a guy on the sidewalk shucking fresh oysters for visitors. The service could have been better when I visited, though they were fairly busy.

Decent little bar with a decent beer selection on tap. Live bands and a good ambiance. They had a house beer which I’ve been unable to find on ratebeer. Overall worth checking out.

Great place to come have a few local drafts or even a high abv belgian (st. Bernardus, La Fin, Maudite, Chouffe Houblen, Aventinus all there when I went). They always have at least 8 taps with high quality local IPAs, stouts, coffee porters etc, and they have a rotating guest tap that’s always something good and strong, it was Souther Tier Choklat when I went, which is a hard enough beer to find on draft. Service was prompt and the server had tried every beer on their 90+ bottle list, and he gave advice on how the local beers on tap were this season as apposed to previous seasons. I was advised to stay away from Clay Pipe’s Persuit of Happiness and went with a Winter Storm ale which turned out to be perfect. He also told jokes. What happens when Koopers walks into a bar? AWESOME HAPPENS. Get in to this place if you’re in Fells.
