| HeistAlmighty (10), Saint John, New Brunswick | | November 27, 2011 Nice little store in Downtown Bangor, easily within walking distance of Seadogs and the free parking garage in decent weather. About half the store is beer with lots of Maine and other New England micros and craft brews. There were also a fair number of imports, but I was not really looking for imports so I didn’t spend long on that shelf. Staff seemed knowledgeable and friendly, indulging our touristy ways. Prices seemed standard for the area. Overall, worth a stop if you are in the area and looking for local beers. Less cramped and hectic than many small stores so shopping was more pleasant. | | Chas_Higgins (11), Quebec | | October 9, 2011 Nice cheese, nice wines and a nice selection of maine beers | | chriso (258), London, England | | April 5, 2010 A pleasant place to shop. Plenty of local stuff - Atlantic, Bar Harbor, Penobscot, an Oak Pond that I hadn’t seem elsewhere, but no Andrews when I visited. Didn’t really look beyond the local brews but seemed to have a decent selection. Very friendly and informed service from the beer geekess serving. Didn’t have time to peruse the cheese. Definitely worth a visit if in the area. | | simonbilyk (12), Maine | | July 25, 2009 [ Updated November 27, 2009 ] Lots of Maine beer. Andrew’s brewing and all of the Atlantic/Bar Harbor brewing line. My only complaint is the lighting is poor, my eyes hurt after looking at all the bottles.

Just got new ownership, the shop is laid out differently and feels much better when you walk in. The couple who now own it are delightful and I have high hopes for making this my go-to place for beer. | | Gethinbeer (94), Musky, Nova Scotia | | March 21, 2009 Decent selection of beer. Didn’t seem to be much pubs in the town so this was a good find. Friendly man in the shop was happy to help with boxes and directions to other places. Tidy find. | | MtStateBeer (21), Hurricane, West Virginia | | November 20, 2008 Visited this place on a trip last weekend to Bangor. Not much in the area, but this place was good for finding good beer. They had a fair assortment of Stone, DFH, Allagash, a few Belgiums, Germans, I spotted one Mikkeller, and a whole bunch of the Maine and surrounding state craft brews. The guy working was pretty helpful, but was more knowledgeable about wine. I really didn’ t look at their wine selection, but it appeared to be nice. |
