A good grocery store which happened to be close to our hotel. Decent selection of singles in cold and pretty good selection in general. Not the cheapest store in town Iím sure but definitely a good source of good beers.

This was my only beer stop on the way through Louisiana and it had most of everything I was looking for, including a clean restroom. It was pretty busy on Saturday afternoon, as WF usually are, so it was kinda crowded in the beer/wine/prepared food area and most of the store employees seemed busy. They had all the local stuff I was looking for right on the cold shelf, including practically everything available in package from NOLA, Covington, Tin Roof and Bayou Tech (and Heiner-Brau) breweries. I also noticed some stuff from Stoudts and a few others we didnít get in Texas. I didnít see any Cantillon or Fantome, but Iím not sure that stuff makes it out of N.O. anyway.

Great place for beers in Baton Rouge. Not as great as the ones in bigger cities but blows the rest of the grocery stores in the town away. The staff is always friendly and willing to help out.

Great place to stop in and get a single beer on the way home from worThey have a pretty decent selction of singles and six packs. My only complaint is that I wish they would break open some more sixers for singles. They could at least rotate out thier selection of 12 oz. singles. There are a few Iíd like to try but Iím not brave enough to buy a six.

As far as Whole Foods go - this one does not have quite as good as a selection as others I have been to, but still much better than any other grocery store in town. Decent selection of common British, German and Belgian imports plus a few local micros. Also have about a dozen Sakes. Also has a cooler full of singles up near the front.
