76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20
Had dinner and beers over an evening, Oct 2014. Nice enough pub/restaurant feel, some old brewkit and barrels around, nicely-lit, semi-open kitchen. Great service, super-attentive server; not sure about their beer knowledge cos I asked for no recommendations. Beers were mostly good, a couple not so amazing but solid, with reasonable variety within Deschutes range. Takeaway bottles available too, got myself a Black Butte 26. Food was nice, hearty and a little heavy but enjoyable and freshly prepared. Prices seemed reasonable, cheaper than anywhere comprable in CA but I don’t have much of a reference point. Well worth the visit overall.

Visited on Thursday 23/05/13 for lunch at around 1pm.
Located in downtown Bend the Deschutes Brewery & Public House is a large enough 2 room venue.
Coppers and brewkit on show.
There were about 18 beers on tap during our visit, 2 of which were cask lines.
$8 for a 6 beer sampler.
The service and food was good.
Definately worth a stop on a pub crawl of Bend.

Still one of my very favorite places. Newly expanded, which was needed, but still amazing. great food and even better beer. There is always awesome seasonals and/or one-offs that’ll blow you away.

Hit or miss beer selection that sometimes boasts gems but always has some at least solid one offs in addition to core lineup. Food is good but a bit pricy. Overall definitely worth a trip now and again.

Typical Mountain, brewpub type atmosphere. Friendly service and a pretty young vibe to the space. Food was absolutely delicious and solid tap offerings. Some sours and small production stuff that was brewpub exclusive. Great spot for lunch or dinner and a relaxing night in Bend.

Good place to start beer trekking in Bend, decent food and a wide range of Deschutes brews. Some exclusive.

This has the best variety of pub draft exclusives I have seen so far, not the best beers I have had, but still solid. The food was amazing, the staff were very nice and courteous. My biggest complaint was the wait to get a table, over an hour, but there is a bar while you wait, so not that big of a complaint. One of the best experiences at a brewery so far.

Great location within walking distance to many other beer destinations like Bend Brewing, Silver Moon, Brother Jons, and Crow’s Feet Commons. Sort of an Irish pub feel inside blended with an Applebee’s. Low lighting. Larger tap list consisting only of house beers. Half of the list is their easy to find bottled offerings, the other half are brewpub exclusives. Quality was average. Some hits and some misses. Make sure to take a picture of the taplist if you’re a ticker because no one in Bend is adding new beers from these brewers so you’ll be doing the legwork. Bartender was very nice- allowed us to get as many samplers as we wanted and didn’t charge us for some pints. Chill atmosphere. Crowded almost every evening so is a fun stop. Didn’t try the food, but I imagine it is good but not mind blowing.
