There were 3 or 4 surprises. Bought 8 I had not rated. I think all the Whole Foods replaced a third or so of their beer wall with non-beer. Still, lots of choices, and you can buy individual bottles. Ommegeddon; Russian River Sanctification; Butte Creek Revolution XI; Drie Fonteinen; Santa Cruz Mountain. this place sucked. i was completely disappointed by the selection. nothing that any other whole foods in the bay area didnt have, and any decent liquor store for that matter. that essential star should be removed completely.

I’m updating my rating. Whole Foods is my corner store, so this is one of the places I come to grab a quick six pack. The selection has changed over the years. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes not. They have a smaller selection than other Whole Foods, but they usually have something good. They do a good job stocking seasonals. They frequently have new and/or rare local beers. The imports section is tiny, they may as well get rid of it and just carry local beer. But I’m not the buyer, so who cares? | | beerguy101 (69), Newark, California | | January 6, 2004
