"Grunst Brothers- ON THIS SITE?!?!? HA HA HA!",I thought to myself when I saw it added- it was just a liquor store with some hunting and fishing gear when I grew up there. So I checked it out- selection of liquor, wine, and a whole row of craft beer. A MAJOR plus is being able to make your own 6 pack- where as most places in the beer universe are starting to get away from that. The help was hired, it showed, but at least they understood English. Overall- The place is my dream come true. Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms- just get some grilling supplies from Meijers and you’re good to go!

My wife grew up a few blocks away from this place and it was a regular stop back when we would visit the in-laws. Back in Big Rapids after several years I see it has expanded to have an excellent selection of micro brews and inports. Ambiance is on par with a typical northern Michigan bait shop, which is why I give it a 5.

Not much to llo at from the outside. It’s an actual sporting goods store, of sorts. With fishing tackle, and all. Keep in mind this place is OLD, and is shows, but that adds to the character! The beer selection is excellent. This is the first place to turn me on to Founders Nemesis. They had it stashed behind the counter... Very friendly and competent staff on hand.
