Excellent example of how to create a thriving pub - family friendly, with exciting looking food and cake choices, plus top end macro lagers and real ale. Good decor. A nice place to hang out - not for the beer necessarily, but pleasant.

A victim of its own success! As the best pub on Harborne High Street, The Plough can be very crowded in the evenings and at weekends. Apart from all those other customers making far too much noise, the ambience is great. There are only four real ales on tap but they are chosen well. The service is excellent - last time I got a free pint! I haven’t tried the food yet as I’ve never been able to secure a table - it seems that you need to book to ensure a table.
