Pretty much the best package store in the metro area. 1200+ beers in containers, 50+ draft to go, a hookah lounge if that’s your thing. It can sometimes be hard to find a beer as they are stacked up higglety-pigglety, but if it’s in Alabama it should be in this store.

Great selection and very helpful staff. The only reason I didn’t give them a perfect score on "value" is because their singles are unusually expensive. Otherwise, a great store with a lot of taps and a great bottle/can selection.

Build your own 6-pack selection is horrid and overpriced. They will sell most everything else as singles but the pricing is apparently made up on the spot at the register. I found a couple that were labeled cheaper later in Tuscaloosa. Nice set of taps but I was just passing through so not what I needed.

Conveniently located place with a whole bunch of taps, good local draft selection, but not much local stuff in cans or bottles. Beware, you can’t consume on premises until 5 PM, but they do growlers and minis to tale away. You can even smoke a hookah after 5.

I have to say that I was very impressed. 40+ tap handles that you can get to go in a fine Alabama growler (i.e., milk jug). Great selection of bottles including cigar City. Word. Easy to reach location and right around the corner from J. Clyde. I mean, come on, Danner Cline told me to go here (Free the Hops, anyone?). Anyhow, This is by far the best place I’ve been in B’Ham. I’ll be back. No....I’m a regular!! Update. They just opened a lounge and bar in the back of the establishment. Very comfortable, cool surroundings. Full bar and anything they have on tap for growler fills is available by the pint. Hookas and cigars welcome. A sweet addition to an already good package store.

Typical bodega grocery but Bells and Cigar City with Two Hearted on tap, that’s all I needed to hear.

Pretty nice little place. I was driving through on the way to a family reunion in Tennessee. It is both a liquor store and beer store and one of the first of those to actually have a good selection of both. I personally like the whole selling draft beers in either growlers or reused milk jugs, granted they have a nice draft selection. One thing that was confusing was the lack of bombers and 750 ml which may be something about Alabama law possibly but that was disappointing. Overall pretty good place.

I went in a couple times to look at their selection, decent at best. The second time I was in without buying, the owner accused me of "spying" on their prices?? I wouldn’t buy anything from these people, go to Western or Vulcan instead.

Excellent craft beer selection for Birmingham - over 700 beers available. Prices are average for the area. Friendly staff. They offer growlers and single bottles (if you only see 6 or 4-packs of a beer, ask and they normally allow you to just take a single). The 2 guys who own this place are super nice - Much more informed about their beers than Vulcan and IMO have a better selection.
