Recently took a tour during my stay in Hatfield, WI. The tour was informative but rather quick. Their tap room was pretty cool, I have never heard of Sand Creek so I was able to sample a lot of new beers. I found most of the beers to be just average, but their darker beers were really good. I love their double chocolate oatmeal stout.

Stopped by the brewery on the way to LaCrosse. A quaint, small place with a very interesting history. Our tour guide gave a very informative review of the history as well as a detailed explanation of the brewing process. The tap room was kind of cool - some cool old photos, neon bar lights and very helpful staff. They had a wide variety of their brews available on tap with some fresh WI cheese curd available for nibbling. The tour was a free, so the value was very high. Overall, I would strongly reccommend stopping if you’re on I-94 and pass by the Black River Falls exit.

I stopped here last week for a short visit. It was early morn and not technically a touring day but we were given a really nice impromptu tour of the facility by one of the volunteers. I had a chance to talk to the Brewmaster and another brewer as well. Everyone was super nice. I’m pretty familiar with the Sand Creek lineup as I’ve had quite a few of their beers. One thing I didn’t know was how much contract brewing they do. It’s amazing how much beer is brewed in a building that size. Either way, I definately recommend going here and will probably check it out again next time I pass through Black River Falls.
