| 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 dudebun (23) , Germany | November 14, 2012 Little place across from a Lidl and giant getränkemarkt. Very cramped and crooked inside, pretty nice. I like the feeling of being in a place with so much good stuff it’s crammed into every nook and cranny.
"Special" beer is up front in a sort of crazy pile of stuff, all mixed together and a shelf with more stuff from the UK and USA. Lots of big bottles from De Molen (didn’t see any small bottles from them unfortunately), some brewdog stuff, Meantime London Stout. Tons of German stuff in the room around the corner. I didn’t see any German microbrews though in the special section, nor in the back.
Prices are great (750ml De Molen Single Hop Citra for 6,95€), they gave me a cardboard box to carry my purchases in. Parking is easy right across the street. I will go again if I’m ever in the neighbourhood. Definitely worth a look if you’re nearby. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 turbothy (24) Bonn, Germany | June 8, 2010| Updated February 2, 2012 [June 2010] Not your run-of-the-mill Getränkemarkt, P&M is the only place I’ve found so far in Bonn with a selection of non-standard German beers. Also has a number of Belgian and UK brews, which is wildly exotic by local standards as well. Service is quietly helpful and mixing crates for tasters is not frowned upon. Good selection of beers I haven’t seen anywhere else and decent prices.
[Feb 2012] Upped my rating a few points. Selection is getting even better, with gueuzes, lambics, stuff from De Molem and even German microbrews making a cameo. Very helpful staff. |
