fsbw21086 (1), New Jersey does not count - explanation | | October 30, 2009 good place. better selection than anywhere else in the area and nice and close | | njmoons (14), New Jersey | | September 4, 2009
Ended up here based on other reviews, and I am glad I stopped.
They have a commitment to beer that I have not seen elsewhere. It started when I walked in the door. They had a sales rep from Erie Brewing, I had fun asking a few questions.
Then I headed for the Wall of 750’s oversize bottles, and Bombers. Had fun picking a few new beers to sample.
And by the way, the people that worked there were very pleasent, and helpful. I had 2 people ask if I had any questions in when in the store, and at check out they were quick and friendly. Prices were slightly higher than average, but not enough to discourage me from shopping there in the future.
I will stop by whenever I am in the area. | | MikeF (95), Cleveland, Ohio | | June 2, 2009 A rather large beer selection. nice selection of regional beers hard to find elsewhere. Prices seem very fair given the location and regional beers are rightly lower priced. a great stop if you are in the area. | jblendy (8), Midland Park, New Jersey does not count - explanation | | March 22, 2009 [ Updated April 14, 2009 ] Great selection with above/below average pricing. Visited at almost closing so there was no real service but the cashier was very pleasant. Full wall of singles/sixes/fours all with stats | | HoppityHop (45), New Jersey | | January 30, 2007 [ Updated March 21, 2007 ] This is one of the better shops in North Jersey and definitely worth checking out. Prices are reasonable, and stock rotates often. Always have the latest from Stone, Lagunitas, Climax, and more. Lots of Belgians, and a good selection of beer in general. While not everyone is super knowledgable, the staff is always friendly and helpful...........and they’re expanding the beer section as I type this! They always have free copies of the latest Ale Street News, as well. (Update: The beer section has been enlarged slightly. Bigger selection, better prices.........still no singles, but besides from that, this place is the tops!) | | hophead75 (83), Boonton, New Jersey | | November 19, 2006 [ Updated March 13, 2007 ] This is my local bottle shop. Selection has become 150 percent better over the last year or two, the new beer manager has done a very good job. Prices are also very good, for example: 4.50 for a rochefort 6 or 8, 5 for a rochefort 10. They have a nice selection of belgians, bombers, and a huge selection of six packs, although if you are used to the selection at somerville super saver or Oak Tree, you may be a bit dissapointed. Cons: no selection of singles at all. Update: This store just keeps getting better. The selection is still growing and now they seem to get all the limited release bombers and 750’s in right away. I feel lucky that I have a bottle shop like this right down the street from me. | | Lou18 (23), West Paterson, New Jersey | | November 3, 2006 [ Updated November 10, 2006 ] This place is great. Meet the beer guy Mark while geeking out over their huge selection. Talked for a long time, he was very happy to introduce me to all the staff and talked about the tasting I missed Last nite! This place is right down the street from work, right off of 287. They get beer in almost daily, and know what they sell, and what else they can get that did not come in yet. Putting things aside and special orders are something they are more then willing to do. Quality as well as quantity!
Re-Rate comnpared prices, they are much more reasonable, down right a bargin here. |
