| drinktomymood (16), Virginia | | October 1, 2011 Loved it. Took the brewery tour, beautiful equipment and grounds. The tasting room was spacious and sunlight filled. The beers were sampled we can’t get on the East Coast so it was fun to taste some of their more experimental stuff! Worth the drive! | | JohnnyJ (94), San Diego, California | | October 13, 2010 Nice place, beautiful area. I loved the drive. got a couple of cheap samplers. The people were nice, beer was average to good. Not spectacular, the the scenery makes it worth it. | | amg800 (38), Ada, Michigan | | August 28, 2009 I had a lot of fun ordering and talking over the full sample platter my wife and I ordered. The girls working behind the counter were fun and knowledgable, especially since one of them had to leave early for her DUI class. The Bar itself was very open and had what looked like a great hop garden/seating deck on the outside which I didn’t go to. Great place for a drink and easy to make new friends. Thursday 8/27/2009 3:30pm - 4:30pm | | Rastacouere (581), Montréal, Quebec | | July 7, 2009 In its bucolic setup only reachable through miles of steep slopy one-lane roads (beautiful), Anderson Valley feels like one of the smoothest brewery I can think of. Cheap prices, a nice beer garden and lots of brewery gear make it an interesting visit for whoever likes the brewery. I was not convinced the detour was worth it, but I’ve only tried one beer there and could have stuck to it pints after pints as fresh as it was - just as fresh as anything was this pint of Summer Solstice to which I gave a 4.0 after having given it a stunning 2.2 on my first try a few year ago - it was a bottle obviously. Lovely spot which had the brewery climb heavily in my impressions. | | polarbeer (10), | | December 1, 2008 A nice place to stop and have a drink taste their beers and play some frisbee golf on the brewery site if the weather is nice. I liked going on the tour and seeing the brew kettles. It is a tasting room with gift-shop and place to buy some of their tasty beer. They have tables outside so you can bring a picnic. | | ChillCoat (43), Concord, California | | February 4, 2008 Awesome brewery. An absolutely beautiful brewhouse. The food is great but the seating set-up is a bit strange (think tables in the gift shop). | | skoisirius (23), Earth, Washington | | September 8, 2007 More of a gift shop and a tasting area with a couple tables, AV dropped the food part of their experience about eight years ago. AV is not the type of brewery to continually experiment and what not, BUT, the beer they brew is of course solid and incredible. I got a sampler tray (and had already had all of these), but the novelty factor of having their great brew at the spot was lovely. Met the grounds keeper, who was a super chill guy, and sat and chatted with him for a while. The land they’re on is absolutely beautiful. The brewery itself is quite spectacular - it’s not often you see present day American brewers using vintage German kettles! If you’re in the area, this is definitely worth a visit! | | bhensonb (375), Woodland, California | | June 29, 2007 Downer is the access hiway. All else is good. Have a sandwich. Drink the beer. Not worth the trip, unless you can’t get the beer on tap elsewhere. BUT, if you are going that direction, it is a must stop. | | YogiBeera (109), Hamburg, Germany | | April 29, 2007 Awesome service! Nice room - weird seating-. LOL! Too bad they hadn’t had food -that would have made this like a real heaven for me. |
