| MikeMoriendi (50), Boynton Beach, | | February 16, 2012 Looks like your typical brewpub now and days. They had a nice selection of their stuff on including a number of stouts just for February. Food was really good and well priced for lunch. The server you could tell didn’t know a lot about beer but made due and was nice. It was a nice spot for lunch. | | DWestrick (21), Ft Wayne, Indiana | | January 1, 2012 visited in 2006 while passing through Boston. Located right next to Fenway Park - enjoyed a tasty beer. | | LilBeerDoctor (185), East Setauket, New York | | December 6, 2011 A large brewpub just down the street from Fenway Park. On a Monday night in December it was far from crowded, however. I was here for an event and we took up most of the tables. Pretty extensive tap list- 4 "light" beers, 3 pale/ambers, and 4 "dark" beers, plus at least 1 cask and up to 4 seasonals. I was actually quite impressed with my 2 beers (a winter warmer and cask pale ale). I don’t know if they are a hit-and-miss kind of place but all that I got were "hits". They are the only brewery I know of to serve their blueberry ale with whole blueberries floating in the glass. The food that I got was great (chicken penne). Overall I had a great time here and would definitely come back. | | beerbill (80), Laurel, New York | | October 26, 2011 We stopped by during a recent visit to see my daughter. I tried to get there once before, but the Red Sox were playing that day and parking was impossible. Even now at the end of October parking was difficult, but at least not impossible. The place is large and cavernous with an industrial look and decorated with lots of diamond plate. There is a large bar area with ample seating. Service was attentive and excellent. One item I will mention is they advertise 12, 16 and 22 oz glasses. I asked for a 16 oz glass and to my eye, it was not a pint, maybe 14 oz. The food was good and the overall experience was enjoyable. | | rosenbergh (275), Helsinki, Finland | | July 24, 2011 Big hall. Sunday night almost empty. Normally probably more crowded. 15 own brews on tap. Food OK. Not cheap but tasty Burger. OK service. | | fata2683 (125), Tucson, Arizona | | June 17, 2011 stopped in here for a beer after the Fenway tour. Cool atmosphere with decent prices and a very big bar. | BeerBeggar (4), Kansas does not count - explanation | | June 6, 2011 Went on a Sox gameday. Place was packed, as expected, but nothing unique about the place. The selection and service were good, but the beer was of poor quality. Tried 4 separate beers poured into pint glasses and all 4 seemed watery. | | jrallen34 (207), Chicago, Illinois | | March 31, 2011 I had a drink here at the Fenway location while waiting to go on a tour of Fenway.
The atmosphere was pretty nice. It was clean, spacious and nice for a bar, nice seating available. Some Red Sox stuff but nothing super cool.
The quality was pretty decent, 16 different brews brewed by them and some other’s I’m sure but I didn’t check them out.
The service was a little lack luster. I sat at the bar and the bartender didn’t know jack. She knew a little about there beers then proceeded to describe the Bunker Hill Blueberry like a fruit beer. Come on, this is a pilsner with some fruit dumped into it.
I had the food for breakfast at the airport, it was ok, nothing special. | | theisti (273), Leawood, Kansas | | August 18, 2010 Somewhat modern space directly across from Fenway. I visited late Monday afternoon on a summer non-game day, so a light amount of tourist traffic was present. Brew kit is up front, small bar tables up front, more restaurant seating in the back. During my visit, they seemed a little understaffed with the bartender covering the entire bar area, and service was a little slow because of it. I did not eat, but food looked like decent enough bar food. OK selection of beers on tap, which were all decent to mediocre. It was the first stop on my walking tour of Boston. | gekosoave (9), Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | August 10, 2010 We came on a gameday so it was rather crowded but we still received decent service. They had a good selection of varieties available. I had three samplers( The good thing is that you can choose which four beers that you want on your sampler) and after that really didn’t care who won the BoSox game. |
