| onceblind (66), Denver, Colorado | | November 5, 2011 Smallish tasting room for a brewery that distributes in 11 states, reminds me of a college dorm. reggae music and tv’s on sports channels? Trying a little hard to bring in the CU students I believe. 15 beers on tap is nothing to thumb my nose at, but only about half of them are worth the while. The other half arent bad, per se, just kinda standard or unsuprising. Didn’t try the food, though it certainly smelled good. | | Sammy (408), Toronto, Ontario | | February 10, 2011 The place surprised me, its really small but there were several pluses: a few off-the-wall beers, I missed an attempt at a sour, but they had three chile beers on tap, one which had great flavour (silly billy). They also had on a decent barleywine. The other beers were almost all average. Loved the tap handles that were part of a 1860’s saloon theme. Service was handled by a confident lady who was alert to everything and any beer you wanted. The sampler tray was all layed out for up to 15 beers (I tried 10) with 4 ounce pours in solid glasses. People were friendly at the bar. A good time. | | texasbudd (11), | | January 29, 2011 Great find! | | adnielsen (277), Fort Collins, Colorado | | October 13, 2010 Lots and lots of beers to try here- when I visited there was 15 or so of their own beers. Of course, their beers aren’t all that great. The atmosphere kinda sucks. Worth a trip if you’re going on a Boulder beer tour. | | slimchill (82), Austin, Texas | | April 28, 2010 Very nice atmosphere and solid brew. Friendly staff, the owner(?) even came out to say hello after finding out that we were from Austin, where Twisted Pine was about to begin distribution. | | KAggie97 (213), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas | | October 28, 2009 Nice place with a pretty decent atmosphere. Service was great and the sampler options are sure to please just about anyone. Too bad the beer isn’t all that good. | | PaulUnwin (50), Pinellas Park, Florida | | September 1, 2009 DEcent enough place, the beer was also okay. I do like dogs, but after a couple of fights and constant barking, I did get a bit fed up of it!! Their beers were not too bold, but well drinkable. Worth a look if you are in town. | | 3fourths (959), Boulder, Colorado | | April 14, 2009 The tasting room reminds me of a college dorm. Beer quality is consistently poor. Prices are reasonable, happy hour discounts are frequent. I don’t go here often. | | NachlamSie (355), Tennessee | | February 25, 2009 What a tasteful little tasting room. A huge amount of beer was available, at the very least 10, and the two I had were great. Billy’s Chiles may be the best pepper beer I’ve ever tasted. It was pretty quiet on my visit, so I perused the magazine rack of beer publications. I’d go back just to get more pepper beer. They carry some sandwiches now, but it doesn’t appear that they actually have a kitchen or anything like that. You can buy bottles to go from the cooler. | | Ungstrup (335), Oamaru, New Zealand | | August 22, 2008 Beware of the opening times - the tasting room doesn’t open until 3 PM on weekdays. A very dark room makes it out for the tasting room - somewhat dull, but you can see the brewery thru a window. Not many patrons on a Friday afternoon between 3 and 5. 10 beers on draft, so for that matter a scoop. Very attentative and knowledgable service. |
