| jmikolich (45), Brunswick, Ohio | | November 26, 2011 played a game of flag football across the street in the reservation, and wandered in here to buy some chips and carbonated libations for the game... selection is good, notable things to me were Leinenkugels Big Eddy, Pepe Nero from GI some Buckeye stuff the normal Hoppin Frog a few belgians.. Breakfast stout, Backwoods Bastard too. Nothing super rare but still a great secondary place to shop.. however beware this place is PACKED with snobby people on a saturday... they do occasionally have beer tastings as well usually 10$ or so for entry. not bad, just definitely not a beer focus. Beware of turnover if buying IPA’s | gruppen (6), does not count - explanation | | June 17, 2011 Good selection of beer they will take requests. They do have some unusual and rare beers. | | pottygok (11), Ohio | | January 10, 2011 This is a great grocery store with a small cafe, which is great for lunch. The beer aisles are well stocked, and while they sometimes are over priced, the selection is better than any other store in the area. They also host some pretty neat beer tastings and beer pairings throughout the year, which is cool, too. | | SimonBrewski (11), Ohio | | November 5, 2010 It’s a grocery store folks! It is a nicer store with an above average selection and at times some great specialty stuff but in the end you won’t find the hard to get stuff here. | | lushawn (164), Boston, Massachusetts | | June 17, 2009 Nice combination of local stuff, microbrews, and imports. They had some alesmith beers like speedway, yulesmith winter, and old numbskull. Buckeye brewing company. well organized. There is never any help in the beer isle while I’m there, but I’m fine with that. | | b33r (10), Cleveland, Alabama | | July 21, 2007 [ Updated September 17, 2010 ] I attended their beer tasting July 07. The beer tasting was nice, my first, so I don’t have anything to compare it to. There were 35 beers, about 15 I had tried already, but the food made up for the difference. Mean Manalishi, Olfabrikken porter, Rogue 10,000, Allagash Curieux, Chouffe, Westmalle, and New Holland Existential are a few I tried.
They sell all the ones they sampled except for Rogue 10,000. On my quick walk through the aisles I saw some Alesmith, Stone (still had some Epics left), 3F, Southern Tier, Bear Republic, DFH, Bells and a lot of other stuff. Most of the regional crafts and interesting imports
Go check out their selection, it’s increased a lot and better than any other Heinen’s- I would say it’s twice as large as Mustard Seed’s now and they have singles too. |
