| REDBEARPUB (19), , Italy | | February 12, 2012 una selezione di vintage spettacolare!!! prezzi incredibilmente bassi!!!!!!! | | mike1977ok (26), , Netherlands | | October 31, 2011 They make their own beers, most of which are pretty good. A nice old fashioned looking place. Good selection of bottles. Some beers are well priced, others seem on the high side. Search through the beer menu and you will find a few bargains. Always a selection of guest/seasonal beers. | | Martinus (70), Nijmegen, Netherlands | | October 18, 2011 Lively pub, big crowd of regulars, who are quite talkative and, in the true Brabant way, make you fit right in.
Often activities are organised, like the geuze tasting when I was visiting, most of the tastings also have some game element.
Choice of beer is quite OK: mostly Belgian, some jewels and a few home brews. The last being nothing really spectacular, but very drinkable and nice continuation of brewing tradition in Breda. Lunch here is decent pub food.
I quite like the atmosphere in this place. | | Jerre (67), Waregem, Belgium | | July 31, 2011 Recommanded place for beerdrinkers. Brown cafe and ABT member. Good friendly staff-people.
Also a homebrewery at this place.
You can bought here some off there beers.
Good choice of beers most are Beligans. | | undercurrent25 (64), Barnton, England | | March 21, 2011 On ly went in for the one drink on a sat night, very busy, looks good inside, nice decor and an excellent selection of beers | Jaspervanschie (6), Delft, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | December 28, 2010 Was really looking forward to going here. Hoping to enjoy great combinations of beer and food. The lack of knowledge of beer by the person serving us was disapointing. The food was reasonable, but overpriced. Not very impressed. Must visit again though to be sure | cadyv (1), Bastogne, Belgium does not count - explanation | | May 25, 2006 Very pleasant place where you can taste your beer. | | jbrus (133), Delft, Netherlands | | June 6, 2005 [ Updated December 23, 2006 ] Very good pub for serious beerdrinkers. Normally without annoying young and loud pilsener drinking crouds. The staff has a lot of knowedge about beer.
The last two visits to the pub where a bit disappointing. Very crowded, once I even had to stand in line to get in because some kind of soccer match. So the pub isn’t that good anymore. They have a restaurant now (since some time). They serve nice meal but not exceptional. Friendly staff though. | | bierkoning (212), La Tropica, Netherlands | | March 16, 2005 I’ve visited this pub quit often in my first beer life in the 80’s and early 90’s. Hasn’t changed a bit since, except that a brewery is active since 2004. Good beers (ask for the geuze card!), good staff, good atmosphere. |
