I used to go here a lot when I lived in Port Orchard, but hadn’t visited this place for a couple years. It’s changed management since I last came, and the most notable difference is in the service. Slow service used to be the biggest downside of the place, but it’s really stepped up. The pizza here is the best I’ve had in Kitsap, and their Toad Pie is a top contender for my favorite pizza ever. They have a modest selection of taps and bottles with a lot of local beers, and prices are fairly average. One of the better places to eat and get a beer in the area.

Well made pizza, decent beer selection especially in bottles, service is fast. Very enjoyable and worth a visit if you are in Kitsap County.

I hear they have changed owners and i haven’t been there since this happened, but when i was going there, it was mostly to get my name on the wall (Captain Crizunk) the food is alright and while they have a number of beers i can’t count how many times they didn’t have a beer i ordered. Then my friends and I discovered the Bay St. Ale House, which is the place to go for pizza and beer and we haven’t returned to the toad house since

so i heard that they had a new ownership and figured that i would give them another try. the menu has been changed somewhat, no more bangers and mash, and other pub foods. they have aps, salids, sandwiches, and pizza, oh and lots of beer. they have even included a row of shelves against one wall that you can buy beer for take-away. we had two pizzas and some articoch dip, all was pretty good. the best part (the reason that i didnt go back previously) was that the service was much improved. i left my old coments below. ****************old rating*************** been there twice, once last summer during the day, the food was bland and the service was not that great. the next time went on a Saturday night and again the service was bad, the food was bland, the bread and salad was good though. the selection was okay, they had about 12 bear on tap mostly local. the last time i went my wife had chicken caesar, the chicken was over cooked and dry, the dressing had pesto or something like that in there, she ended up not eating most of it, i had a chicken sandwich and it had too much pesto on it and was dry, the app we had was artichoke dip and it also had a bunch of pesto in it.... now a little pesto is fine but when every thing that you serve has pesto that is a problem... i don’t think that we will be going back again it again lit was not worth the wait and the beer i can get elsewhere.

Rerating. They’ve changed ownership. Service is faster and better. Favorite is the Salty Orchard pizza. Rerating. The food there is very good. Try the Toad Pie. The service has improved, they’ve changed staff and it seem to make a difference. They are maturing as a business. Marcus, keep it up.

For delicious thin crust, brick-oven pizza and local beers, the Toad House can’t be beat! Their cook offers mouth watering specials regularly and they bring in all your favorite local beers. Their Brewer’s Night now gets filled up pretty quickly and if you have a favorite brewer, let them know and they’ll bring them in for the next month’s Brewer’s Night. I can spend hours in this pub.
