nahaines (1), Franklin, Tennessee does not count - explanation | | July 11, 2011 Large selection of imports and seasonal beers. Good selection of boutique cigars. Prices on most items are reasonable. Comfortable chairs with free wifi make it a great place to sit and relax. They are quickly beating out all their competition with service quality and lounge area. | DanMark (1), does not count - explanation | | February 14, 2010 I visited Stogie’s once and that will be the last. The owner was there and he was a prick and a jerk, you can’t have a conversation with him because he is not social. I will never spend a penny at his store again. His cigars are dry, cracking and highly priced; I advise you to go to Old Havana where it’s more reasonably priced, bigger selection and a much nicer place. The owner actually has a better sense of humor and is polite. | | Butters (164), Richmond, Virginia | | October 26, 2008 Upscale-ish, yet laid back cigar bar. Selection of cold singles is quite impressive (all beers are available cold here). However, the overall selection of beers and cigars is about half that of Woody’s on the other side of the mall but this place does have more singles and rare-ish beers. Very clean and open floorplan makes woody’s look like a garage sale. Yuppie younger crowd. The staff was cordial and unintrusive in my beer selection. But be prepared to pay through the nose. They advertise 20% of mixed 6-packs to go, but even after this discount, the beers are nearly 40% more expensive than anywhere else in town. Pretty much expect to pay ’bar’ prices if you wanna hang out, and a ’restaurant’ markup, even to go. But it was a cool place. |
