| Scopey (150), Croydon, England | | November 27, 2011 Small off-license located only a few minutes away from Brighton train station. Impressive selection of over 100 bottled beers. The British range includes Darkstar, Thornbridge, Brewdog, Magic Rock, as well as a solid selection of Belgian and American beers. Good value. Cute cat in the store kept my lady friend occupied while I browsed. Well worth a visit when in Brighton. | | Mad_Ferret (12), , Sweden | | August 8, 2011 Very small shop with a nice helpful man behind the counter plus a small fluffy white dog that came out and stared at me for a while. One wall plus smaller section in the middle with beers. Some belgian (Rodenbach, Boon, Oud Beersel...), american (Goose Island, Sierra Nevada, Brooklyn, Odell...) and brittish beers (local ales, The Kernel, Meantime, Harviestoun, Brewdog).
It wasnt anything that made me jump like a two year old but enough to make some fun shopping for a swede like me. If I only had gone there earlier during my stay I would probably have bought more than I did. I guess the only choice for a fuller range of beers when in Brighton. | | Leighton (226), London, England | | February 23, 2011 I completely stumbled upon this place. I have a habit of peaking into most off-license shops, hoping to see a vast range of beers. About 98% of the time I don’t find anything interesting, but every now and then I find a gem like Trafalgar Wines. The selection in here is fantastic, with loads of beers from England, Belgium and America. The coolest thing I saw was a Thornbridge Braccia. This shop is only about a five minute walk from the Brighton Rail Station, so anyone who goes to Brighton should definitely check it out. |
