Huge beerhall below the hotel. Wooden desks, retro posters on the wall. 4 kinds of regular beers (svetly, weizen, oatmeal stout and a polotmavy) on tap and a seasonal. All are brewed on the site. Typical Czech cuisine that’s well worth the price. Not a beer geek heaven, but it’s highly recommended if you would like to have good local food or would like to check out a local beer hall.
A Sunday lunchtime beer stop, chose the Oatmeal Stout (from its range of 5 beers) which was very good. Nice atmosphere in the place we seemed to be the only non-locals but were well received with good welcome and service. The place has a small old ’bier-hall’ feel, long and fairly narrow with dark wood panelling and ceiling. Historic building. Enjoyable visit.
brewpub in center of brno. we were there for lunch and both food and beers were very average at best. the svetly had a light buttery note, which I guess is OK. But also the wheat beer was rather buttery. Service was OK. This is good for the location and the ticks, but there are better beer and food options in Brno. (no smoking when we were there -> during lunchtime)
There were 4 unique (brewery’s own) beer on tap. Other beer were not too much types but wine selection is one of best in Moravia. Service is fast, food is very good but not excellent as quite simple (but very high quality).
Old school looking brewpub/restaurant with old wood furniture. It’s one of those places where smoking is allowed and it makes special ambience, although I’m not a smoker. Waiter forgot to bring some of the food we order, but we solved the problem in few minutes. Restaurant seems cheap to me and beers were good, specialy Roggenbier.
Visited May 2012, City centre brewpub, service was good and seemed popular with locals. Bar area where you could buy souvenirs like glasses , take-away bottles, aprons with brewery logo ect. Dark wood panelled interior that creates a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy their brews. Thought that the Weiss bier was a decent attempt and the svetly was OK.
The beer selection is average, as beers are decent, but without strong character and similar to each other. Food quality is higher than average, it’s quite fat (but it’s fine for me), portions are big. I can recommend it after eating there 3 times. The pub has a nice collection of old items connected to brewing. Service is ok, quite fast.
