Barcade

Visited a couple of times because it was very close to my Brooklyn Airbnb. Wow, pretty cool vibe, the place is packed with neat old school arcade games, and the beer selection ain't bad. On my first visit there was an anniversary event going on for which they poured aged varieties of rare beers among others. Beer selection was decent on the other visits. Friendly service, half pours available. This place gets real noisy and busy in the evenings.

Fairly close to Tørst and like its name suggests, this bar has an arcade / dive bae feel. Solid taplist, but nothing overly special on tap. No flights or small pours, and the glasses are pretty pricey, so this is not a good ticking spot. Not at the top of my recommendations list, but it’s a decent hangout spot.

Have visited a few times over the years. I’m not remotely into video games so this place’s USP is kind of lost on me. Not much of a vibe as it’s just a dark room with a lot of people staring at screens. Beer selection always seem a bit conservative and too IPA heavy. I like their merch though.

Pretty cool place with a nice tap list and a bunch of arcade games. Pretty noisy though. Not overly impressed.

A fun place to visit, not only for the beer. Beer selection is decent, but the games is what makes this place stand out. The cool vibes makes it a good place to visit (even) with friends that are not that interested in craft beer.

Same style as the other Bars with the same name in NYC. Decent tap list, rather slow the first hour after opening this Friday afternoon. Good enough.

Visited 20160212. Had 2 beers. Decent selection but nothing really interesting. Little bit of overrated place because this one doesn’t really offer much in a beer sensitive way.

I went to this place while crashing in my wife’s hotel room while she was working in New York, NY. I live in Chicago and there are now about a dozen places that take on this concept, but I got the feeling that this was the original place that went with the beercade theme. I went here at 4 PM on a weekday in the winter, so it wasn’t too crazy and I was able to hang out and play NBA Jam for a couple of games. Definitely a fun atmosphere with a good selection, would recommend this place.
