Located in the busy commercial part of Brooklyn. Typical american pub interior with the TV screen killing an otherwise pleasant interior. Over a dozen of tap lines with some interesting offerings, I remember there was a 2 year aged Allagash Interlude as well as classic American craft beers and maybe 2 or 3 imports. Not the greatest tap list in town and they don’t seem to go after the exclusive exotic beers like some other beer bars in NY but you are sure to find a beer or two you’ll want to drink from the tap list. The bottle list however is very impressive. They may not have that rare exotic beer (or if they do, they go fast) but the sheer number of choices is overwhelming. Hundreds and hundreds of bottles to chose from including many aged bottles (aged Black Chocolate, aged Rochefort, etc.). You can see a lot of the bottles in three 2-door large fridges. I didn’t eat there but from what I saw they offer adequate typical greasy pub food. Worth a stop imho.

The main reason to come here is an extensive aging program with verticals of many great beers from the US and abroad represented. They even had a Westy 12 there last time I went. So they have some pretty rare stuff as well as relative comprehensive representation for a broad range of breweries. The prices are a tad high but there are a decent number of really good deals to be had for random bottles, if you know. It’s not the most atmospheric place, kind of a basic pub / cafe in a neighborhood filled with more designed places. But for aged beer...it’s probably got the most options in the city.

I’ve spent a good bit of time and money at this unique bar in Downtown Brooklyn. Though the ambiance and service are lackluster, neither is the reason you come here: you’re here for the vintage beer selection. Need a 2007 Bourbon County Stout to complete your vertical? Want to assemble a full vertical of Rochefort 10 from 2004-present? They’ve got you covered. Want a 1oz pour of an unattainable beer like Sam Adams Millennium? No problem. None of these options are cheap, but they aren’t absurdly expensive either. I can’t think of any other bar that can match DB&G’s selection in this regard, and that’s why I bring my friends here. A final note on prices: join their free rewards membership club thingy and earn 10% of your purchase price in future bar credit. Nice perk that they didn’t need to offer, but is certainly appreciated.

They have over 800 bottles of beer inculding rare and vintage brews. The food was great and our server jason was delightful.

Decent beer selection but a very typical sports bar — I feel like I’m in Ohio suburbs or something when I’m in this place. Food sucks, and the servers tend to botch your cheques with even remotely complex orders. Very expensive. A great bottle selection is certainly this bar’s selling point, with a special emphasis on Captain Lawrence brews (batch 1 Nor’Easter, for instance), but again you’ll pay out the nose for them: $40 for the above. (Oh, and no Cuvee de Castleton, don’t get your hopes up). Not worth a stop unless you are desperate or in the area.

**Pros: about 20 taps, a huge bottle list, bartenders willing to give you a sample. Service is very attentive. Tables on the sidewalk in good weather, and a tiny "lounge" area with couches in the front. Lots of TV’s usually playing sports. (You might consider this a con) **Cons: Place has the distinct look of your average new and clean Irish pub, you would never expect it to be a serious beer bar. Food is lousy typical tex-mex, wraps and burgers. Ambiance is weird. Always a bizarre mix of music playing, every time I go, 70’s and 80’s pop/rock and not a pleasant memory lane trip either. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam. Music gets really annoying and repetitive. And they will *never* ever buy you a buyback. Ever. Taps are not seriously curated, the beermaster here is not really paying attention.

They are SO OVERPRICED that I had to take out a Home Equity loan to cover my tab. Some of the bottles are $25-$30, yeah for a regular bottle and the double mixers are $17!! Usually Irish bartenders are pretty jolly and friendly, not so, NOT SO!! Guys a jerk. The only thing they’ve got going for them is their ridiculously huge beer selection. ALSO, fyi their ginger ale may be flat and the bartender won’t let you know about it, he’ll just serve it like its hot...awful

Decent place in the middle of Cobble Hill. One of the largest bottled selections in the city. A small but well chosen tap list. Long dark bar and a friendly barkeep. Sunday soccer games attract a lot of Europeans. It’s a pretty solid place, all things considered.
