December 20, 2011 Ate brunch here a couple Saturdays back with Erica, Stiffler, Kayla, Mark and Jen. Waited a bit for a table for 6, which is understandable for a brunch spot near the heart of Hipster Central in Brooklyn. Server was friendly, but we didn’t get much interaction with him as they were busy and understaffed. Very small beer list (they are more about cocktails and the hair-of-the-dog type thing), but the beers they did offer were decent, and they had at least a couple taps. I had an Ommegang Rare Vos, which was poured well and into a clean glass. I ordered the "Green Eggs and Lamb: eggs scranbled with fresh cilantro, tomato, red onion, served with home fries, merguez lamb sausage and pita." It was good, but not amazing. Somewhat expensive for brunch, but it was a nice-looking place with a rustic, homey decor and good lighting thanks to the big window in front (although the sun was shining right into my eyes all meal). Seating was a bit cramped - more privacy would be nice, but that’s asking too much in this part of Brooklyn. |
